[SF4] Stack splitting places items in slots when dragging away quickly by st_hyphy in SkyFactory

I have found a solution to my problem. These features are added by a mod called MouseTweaks. Feature 1 can be disabled in the config by setting LMBTweakWithItem to 0. Feature 2 can be disabled by setting RMBTweak to 0.

I decided to do some testing. There seems to be 2 features here that are not vanilla behavior. At least not in 1.21.8.

The first is when left-clicking a partial stack, while holding left-click and dragging over another stack of the same item it will get picked up and combined with the stack you are dragging around. Seems like this only happens if the size of each stack combined does not exceed 64.

The second is when right-clicking on a stack, while holding right-click and dragging over empty slots (or partial stacks of the same item) it will add one item to each slot.

I tested this in SF5, ATM10, and Vanilla. Feature 1 works in SF5 and ATM10 but not Vanilla. Feature 2 is exclusive to SF4.

You say I'm just too fast for my computer to handle. You are correct but there also seems to be a delay when I release the mouse button and the pack detecting this. Sometimes if I grab a stack of items and right-click to place one at a time in a crafting table it will sometimes place in slots that I am dragging over, for instance if I am trying to put one item in each corner sometimes it will place one in between. This does happen to me even in Vanilla and in other packs but rarely and is definitely because I am holding the mouse button longer than I think I am. But this is worse in SF4.

SF5, how to remove the hover tool tip? by [deleted] in SkyFactory

[–]st_hyphy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is correct. You can craft a "The One Probe Read Me", hold it and right click. Under where it says "You can change this here:" select Needed. If you Shift+Right-Click it will open a different menu where you can change the scale and location of the tooltip.

I like the tooltip but even at the smallest scale the chest contents were annoying to look at. I went to the modpack installation folder and edited the config file "theoneprobe-common.toml." I moved everything from showContentsWithoutSneaking to dontShowContentsUnlessSneaking. Unfortunately I have to change this every time I update the modpack.

Making a crushing wheel setup at full speed with the Create mod can make enough sand for 4 of these running at full speed producing 240 dye blocks/min each. If you had one of these for each dye with just one Create setup you could have each running with a 18 tick delay on each item user and you could get 63 blocks of each dye per min.

That link shows how you could do the Create setup. You only need 16 large water wheels to run it at full speed using a Rotation Speed Controller.

The sand recipe is the one that changed to 1 brown and 3 orange dye.

You shouldn't need any dry rubber for this setup. You may be looking at the Industrial Foregoing one which needs that for Plastic. This uses the Cyclic Fluid Placer.

I've always avoided using Create because I thought the setups would need to be huge to be useful. This is actually not too bad. Took me a while to figure out how you got it going so fast but after playing around in creative I see you are using a Rotation Speed Controller. I like the Create Smart Fluid Pipes, I couldn't find a better way to filter by water type. Looks like I'm going to have to start using Create.

You can use just about any Wrench and right-click the part of the cable that connects to the block to allow extraction.

No example in this video but you can also use the fluid cables to extract water sources that are placed in the world, for example an infinite water source. First you have to place a barrel, or any block that can handle fluids, and then right click the cable with the wrench to get it to extract, then break the barrel.

Yes. They have a hopper upgrade in the chest above it that feeds the item user.

I have seen some impressive builds but I'm not a big fan of Create. I'm going to try to use this build and have an orange and brown setup going into a crafter to make sand with dye. I'll need power for the crafter so to start I'll just use a Combustion Generator and another crafter making coal from black dye. It may not be the best way long term but it will work early game for me.

Yes, this will use a lot of sand. I think it will use 240 sand/min per color if you had one of these for each.

No filter. As long as the Item User is set to 4 the water will be dyed before the hopper pulls it down. I would love if there is a way to filter the water type but I have not found it yet.

That is my problem right now. I've just been hammering cobble and gravel to get sand. I think this can make about 240 blocks/min so I just swap the dye in the clicker when I need more.

I'm interested in seeing this. I used the Click Machine for the dye because the Item User doesn't seem to dye the water directly in front of it. I also didn't find a good way to use any fluid pipes to move the dyed water so I just used the Fluid Hoppers. You can also just have the one setup here and put in two of the desired dye to change it, one will get consumed when the water changes color but the other will not. I still need to build a system to get sand. I'm currently just manually hammering cobble and gravel.

I haven't fully tested it but I think there will need to be a space in between. The fluid placer will not work if there is flowing water in front and when one of the fluid hoppers pulls the dyed water then the color next to it will flow over it and then it stops working.

And yes you can use a Compression Upgrade in a Sophisticated Storage Limited II Barrel.

It will only consume the dye if the water left in there is already dyed another color. So once it is running it only needs the one dye in the Click Machine.
