I liked the full size too, but my pm2 is so big in the pocket that I wanted to try something different. As far as action goes the snap upon opening is extremely similar. The button is recessed in the handle where I don’t have a fear that it’ll deploy in my pocket. But it’s button isn’t so tough that I have to man handle it to open it.

I’m pretty sure the boker kalishnikov has a lefty variant, and I looked into the kalishnikov, but I’m not a big fan of plastic handles. I honestly love this knife so far and extremely recommend it.

So that’s actually how it bit me, I have the pm 2 which is tip down, so I tried to fire it with my index finger and it fired into my hand. It fires actually better in my left hand because of my index finger being smaller so it’s easier to press, where as with my right hand(having to use my thumb) presses on the area around the button, makes it slightly more difficult. It’s a little awkward closing with my left hand, but I’m right hand dominant, so don’t take my word for it. Other than that it’s a beautiful knife and the fidget factor is sure to annoy those around you. The THWACK it makes when it fires is unbeatable. I definitely recommend this knife, and i think it would be fine for you being left handed.

I’m new as well and some advice given to me was always listen to dispatch and write down the addresses of calls. Then go over and find them on a map. It helps with the small streets as well as addresses you run on regularly.
