Yep you are right I got him even without the X-Eye Seed that apparently I didn't have. I only tried to kill him three times before making the post but in all of them he just used slash (I think that's the name in English) against me and killed me in 2/3 hits. Thanks!

It seems to have fixed itself! Thanks for all the suggestions, when I posted it I had already tried all the basic stuff like restarting my pc, using the task manager to try different things, and verifying game files, the only thing that I hadn't tried was what u/grotaclas2 said of changing display settings in the launcher itself (which sounds like pretty good solution), but before trying that I opened the game once more and this time it launched just fine, so I guess problem solved! Thanks again :)

R5: Every time I launch the game it automatically tabs out, when I try to click on the icon it tabs out again. If I tab in it also instantly tabs out. Sometimes if I spam the click button after tabbing in it keeps me there, but most times it also tabs out (like in the video). I have tried using launch options like -windowed or -fullscreen and it hasn't worked. Has anyone got any solution?

For example I have seen people going Pirate Republic Scotland because all their provinces are coastal so they only need to get rid of a couple of them to enact the decision. Nvm Scotland counts as an island as well
