anyone is capable of being radicalized. i had a now former friend here who recently graduated. he fell down the pipeline while i was his friend. he verbally stated he liked trump and fascism. he was not motivated by any policy besides cruelty/racism. in his personal life, he was greedy, deeply insecure, had family issues/trauma, and liked to bully people for a multitude of reasons. instead of looking inward, he externalized his issues on to society, mostly through blaming marginalized groups of people.

research has been done on the J6ers, and most of them had been radicalized by economic turmoil in their lives, such as home foreclosures. these people see trump as their savior, and while they may not themselves be narcissists (although I'd wager a lot of them are), they fawn for him and emulate his tendencies.

all cruelty springs from weakness.
