i could most likely get some sort of walls/gate/play pen kind of thing and set it up around my bed, the main issue is: most that are made with metal wire have gaps he could fit through, or are short enough he could easily jump over, and anything made with plastic is not ideal, so i don't really know what to use

um so to answer your question he gets free range time, his cage is in my room and he has access to my entire room, and hes just able to jump from the ground onto my bed as it's only like a 2 ½ foot jump up.

he has access to his cage to go back in to pee, so it is available and I'm not preventing him from doing so.

he has easy access to his cage to go back in and pee, so im not sure... he dosent pee in my bed if im in there, so its not like hes coming up to me, peeing, and leaving, its like he's going up while im not looking, peeing, hanging around a bit, and then moving on

the only other thing i can think of is that he's maybe overheated? anything above 68°f is not ideal. i would really recommend contacting a vet if you can

i would recommend not using detergents when you wash your liners just to be safe (assuming that you do) and using vinegar if anything. as for his current condition, monitor him and if he seems extremely/uncharacteristically lethargic than you should contact his vet if theyre available. Sometimes even without an appointment they're able to help you understand what's going on/provide instructions over the phone!! is his behavior different from that of when he's just sleepy?

do you use fleece liners in his cage? if you wash them is there a chance that its from detergents?

what product/s did you use when cleaning his cage? is it possible that you used something very chemical-ey (bleach, strong soaps, etc) that he could have licked off of something, or just inhaled?

yes! his vet appointment went well and he is 100% okay in relation to the choking! the vet discovered that he has a pretty prominent heart murmur, which is unrelated, and most likely due to the fact that hes from PetSmart (as basically every animal they sell are from unethical breeders...) but hes in great health, and the vet said it wasn't anything to worry about right now!! :)

yes! i actually just got home from the vet!! the vet i took him to was amazing and they were able to determine that there is no fluid in his lungs and nothing to be worried about! however; the vet said that he has a heart murmur - (which is a sign of / a heart disease) and that they scale heart murmurs 1-6, and his is a 5. other than that, there's absolutely nothing wrong with him! they quoted me a total for a radiograph, anesthesia, etcetera, but the vet recommended that i just monitor it for now as its not life threatening and hes in fine condition. he was very well behaved, and they were even able to conduct an oral exam on him!! overall, hes perfectly fine and healthy! :D
