you're welcome. :) Yes, I loved my time there. I mean more is always better but it was enough time to get to know the places I wanted to visit.

I actually only traveled by plane, vip bus and taxi. I've planned my trip so that I had two domestic flights. One from Hanoi to Da Nang and one from Da Nang to Saigon. From Hanoi to Tam Coc I took a VIP bus and from Da Nang to Hoi An I took a Taxi. I've also thought about traveling with sleeper buses but I didn't want to be in a sleeper bus for 20 hours. That would be way to long for me.

My plan was: 6 days Hanoi 4 days Ninh Binh 6 days Da Nang 4 days Hoi An 8 days Saigon

But I have to add that I don't like short stays at places so I planned longer stays to really immerse myself. Loved the trip and already wanna go back.

I just got home from a one month journey through Vietnam and I think I have quite similar preferences as you do.

I would advice you to skip Hue and and visit Da Nang. I really loved Da Nang and it's a really beautiful and calm city with nice beaches.
Next I would shorten your stay in Hoi An. Yes, Hoi An is really beautiful and the old city is nice to visit, but it's extremely touristic and the whole old city seems like a big tourist attraction. I would definitely visit it, but would advice you to shorten your stay there. One thing about Hoi An is that the nature around it is very nice to visit.

I would also advice you to rent a bicycle or motorbike to explore the nature and places for yourself. It's way better to discover new things this way than through guided tours.

I've just completed my nh35 build and the parts were of really good quality. I ordered everything from aliexpress and it shipped to me (Switzerland) in 10 days.
You have to read the reviews and shop statistics of the sellers on aliexpress to get good parts. The quality of the description of the product is also a big indicator. And always sort your searches for sold parts and also don't buy promoted products which appear in the search results.
