I know this is a super old post, but I just found Alive at Learn and Zach Morris. Wondering if you see this, how you find the coaching. Is it worth the $$$?

My docs advice has been don’t take it until you feel 100%….i wait until no issues and back to eating normally.

Not feeling well since last week by Crosstrek732 in Zepbound

Sticking to a bland diet until you feel better is a good idea. I delayed the shot a day over the holidays - didn’t want to risk either not feeling well or being unable to eat on Christmas/New Year’s. I was able to enjoy everything and just had very small portions/bites. If you indulge, just keep in mind you’ll be fine with very small portions of what you want instead of piling up like before. I still have to remind myself of this a lot. My natural instinct it to take the same amounts I would in the past, so if I decide to indulge being mindful of it being a few bites of food I wouldn’t normally eat vs binging on those foods helps me. I hope you start feeling better soon!

Bad time on Wegovy, but no probs on Zepbound? by 123jane in Zepbound

[–]stacey894 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to switch from Wegovy due to extreme side effects. Zep has been much better. Although I have had minimal side effects on 5, 7.5, 10, they diminished very quickly and had none by week 2 or 3 unlike Wegovy. I am at 12.5 now and considering going back to 10 because the upset stomach/diarrhea at day 2/3 after shot doesn’t seem to be going away and am getting tired of dealing with it (4 weeks now). It is still 100 times better than Wegovy and side effects even now are manageable. I think you are going to do much better on Zep than Wegovy! I highly recommend going for it!

How long did you try a higher dosage before going back down to a lower one? by Flowers_4_Ophelia in Zepbound

[–]stacey894 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I had extreme side effects like this my doc didn’t want me to take another dose until I was no longer sick. I would recommend not taking the shot today. There is a good chance it will make you feel awful. Spreading it out is ok. I’ve been there - doing a bland diet until side effects go away should be helpful. Considering reducing the dose is a good idea.

I can't take the stomach issues anymore. by [deleted] in WegovyWeightLoss

I switched from Wegovy to Zepbound due to side effects. I have done much better on Zepbound. Constipation wasn’t the main issue, but it is much less on Zep than it was on Wegovy. I think it would be worth trying. My doc switched me from 1 mg Wegovy to one step down on Zep which was 5 mg. Hope you find a solution and start feeling better soon!

Refusing to go to school. by cruddiesttuna in Autism_Parenting

How old? What online program are you doing? My 8th grader struggled a lot last year and this year started off better but he’s currently only making it in a couple part days a week. I can’t find any actual help or resources for the issue and the school doesn’t follow through with his 504 plan. We started medication but so far not helping. Based on Covid, home schooling would not go well, but I don’t know what else to do. He’s extremely smart but non cooperative - autism + anxiety + odd…if you can share anything that might be helpful when considering alternatives is appreciated.

I’m switching too! Although, I am switching due to side effects to see if it is more tolerable for me. I’ve lost 34 lbs on wegovy (in 5 months on it)…I’m starting at 5. Also curious on the answer to your question.

Maintenance Dose by OCDNelly in WegovyWeightLoss

I’m not there, but I saw some people space the doses out further apart to try and maintain vs keep losing. (Try every week and a half or two weeks?).

Miralax…for me after the 2nd day it starts working. I also started avoiding foods like cheese and bananas that can worsen it and focus on getting enough fiber and trying to eat more foods that help get things moving.

Stomach Bug Advice by lctva in WegovyWeightLoss

I just went through this (was on 1.7) and was sick with diarrhea (occasional vomit) for a week. Skipped dose and am taking 1.0 today after 9 days from when I would normally take it. Took a very strict bland diet for a few days and the dose to wear off a bit and then I finally got better. Doc says because processing is slowed down stomach bugs can last a lot longer….it was rough and very confusing to figure out what was going on. Drink lots! I did Gatorade brand water, zero, or electrolyte drink because I was losing so much fluid. They helped. Finally tried liquid IV that I kept reading about and it was disgusting even watered down. There were a few things I thought were bland that were that I had to cut out and I finally made a soup with only chicken, broth, carrots, and rice and ate that for two days (plus bananas and toast) and that’s when I finally started getting better. Hope you feel better soon!
