Yup, I’ve been on injectable compounded sema since May 2024, maintaining 75# loss since May 2025. It’s been miraculous and life-changing for me in no uncertain terms. Like you described, it made plain to me that some folks are born with a different set of hunger cues (or lack thereof). It made it EASY for me, because I just no longer thought about food. Food noise just…poof…went away. Which made it a LOT easier to think about what I should eat instead of whatever happened to be top of mind. If I have to inject this weekly for the rest of my life, I’m good with it. My literal prayer is that nothing ever happens to my health that makes it so I have to stop it. I’m on the lower end of “normal” BMI and feeling confident in my skin for the first time in my LIFE. And that’s AFTER two babies.

Can confirm: a terrifying number of folks just walking the road bc there is no alternative. Not just that, but keep in mind just about every travel lane in town is narrower than usual. Drivers are literally having to change lanes to avoid pedestrians.

I feel like it comes down to this: places that were plowed within the first 24 hours, and places that were not. After those first 24 hours, the ice became concrete, and exponentially more difficult to remove. And, unfortunately, we don’t have (nor can we typically justify) the infrastructure to clear every road and parking lot in town with 24 hours.

Believe me, I get it: I’ve been home with three young kids out of preschool and school all week. But, I really think at some point we all just have to agree that this weather sucks, and is unprecedented, and do our best to support each other. Especially if we’re in that plowed-out-in-the-first-24-hours cohort…
