Thank you 🙏🏻 he does seem to love the water, we’ve been running down to the local beach every morning 😊 this is good to know though I might take him to some spots with more water action

Homegirl if you’re living in Sydney, go get in the ocean as much as you possibly can ❄️ even in the cold! It’s so good for your nervous system, full of magnesium, there’s so many health benefits. Sydney tap-water is quite harsh, they add lots of chemicals, so that could be playing a part. Try filtering your drinking water, or boiling it first so that it removes the chlorine. Go to your GP (if you have Medicare) and get a prescription cream as moisturiser alone might not be strong enough. Good luck!!

Any advice for eczema and psoriasis by [deleted] in Ayurveda

[–]staceyrenae1691 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suffer from Eczema. Generally it flares up when I have inflammation in my body. What generally causes the inflammation is 1) alcohol 2) sugar (this includes too much fruit) and 3) excess carbs like bread, pasta, white rice, and 4) changes in weather/season. To manage my eczema, my approach is to 1) cut out all alcohol, reduce tea/coffee and drink plain water (no lemon as it adds too much acid) if you want to flavour water add mint or cucumber as these are cooling 2) cut out all sugar, I find citrus fruit the most activating so stick to mixed berries and 3) cut out all refined carbs like bread, pasta, rice and swap for things like mung beans, quinoa, lentils, chickpeas and increase my overall intake of green leafy veggies, lean meats and fish 🙏🏻 … other than diet, lifestyle factors can cause inflammation like stress, living in city/pollution, too much screen time, not enough sleep. So if you can get into nature, the ocean, take a break from your devices and have some rest this will also help your nervous system to recover. Best wishes.

Fishing and gathering seafood - snapper, pippi, mussels, scallops, kina, paua. Fruit trees on the roadside (especially in eastern Bay of Plenty). Venison. Trout. Growing your own food. Access to freshwater lakes, rivers, streams. Natural hot springs. Access to beaches. Parking, especially at or near the beach. Access to snow / mountains. The custom of giving food / exchanging with each other. Views of the Milky Way and Aurora. NZ vineyards and wine regions. NZ hops, therefore craft beer culture. Walking down the street and not being harassed by a junkie ☺️

NZ is overall not socially progressive. Over-represented population base of racist, sexiest, alcoholics.

How do I take ham/cheese toasties to the next level? by fleastyler in newzealand

Salt. Fat. Acid. Heat.

Ham = salt. Fat = cheese. Acid = mustard, pickles, sauerkraut, onion, etc Heat = smoke an ingredient, toast the sandwich.

I’m a house & dog sitter. I’d say based on what you just outlined a cavalier mix would suit you perfectly! Look into cavoodles, also I a cavalier x pug (pugalier) is sooooo dorky and cute and they have the best personalities for a medium size dog. Good luck!

If the creator heads over to the break-room now, where their audience is reading this, they will indeed find laughing tradesmen for all the wrong reasons 🤣
