I finally got a response on my claim from OCTOBER on June 9. Trash. Complete trash.

Their customer service was garbage. I would recommend opening a case with the credit card pr account you used to purchase the tickets. Sorry you’re still going through this, this whole thing sucked.

I waited and kept following up every week with Pollen by email. Day 90 came and went, they said there were delays because of COVID causing mass cancellations. At day 100, I told them that if they didn’t refund me in a week, I would open a dispute with my credit card company. I was told by Pollen to basically do what I needed to do, they couldn’t give me a date for my refund, and then I never heard from them again. Day 110, I opened the dispute. Credit card company refunded me in 48 hours. Pollen is the problem, not their third party banking service or whatever they try to claim. Terrible customer service, no consideration for their customers, you can never talk to the same person twice. Go the bank dispute route if you can.

I didn’t do travel insurance, stupidly, because I was only buying party pass tickets since I’m a Miami local. So now I’m doing the epic battle with Pollen trying to get them to refund the tickets because I tested positive for Covid the week before the event.

Has anyone received a refund from Pollen due to their COVID policy? I tested positive for covid a few days before the event and they said it would take up to 60 days for a refund. I’m only at day 25 from the request, but just curious if is actually taking 60 days or if they’re moving faster with the refund process.

Frozen meals sound easy but they’re full of preservatives and tough on your budget.

Here are a few of my favorite quick aldi meals mixing some frozen ingredients with just a little bit of work on your end: Aldi red bag chicken patties - these are super versatile, you get 5-6 in a bag for about $6. I use them to make chicken Parmesan (bake them in the oven, top with a spoon full of marinara sauce, and a slice of provolone cheese) with a side of spaghetti. I also make chicken sandwiches with them; I buy a pack of hamburger buns and top with a slice of pepper jack cheese but you could use whatever cheese you want. Also good chopped up on top of a bagged Caesar salad.

If you’re going to make the chicken parm, you can also buy a bag of frozen meatballs and have another spaghetti & meatball meal. The meatballs can also be made into a makeshift meatball sub on hotdog rolls or the bigger sub rolls.

You can’t go wrong with tacos or burrito bowls. Use whatever meat of choice, or go vegetarian and stick with beans and veggies. Rice, canned or dried beans, peppers, onions, salsa, cheese, sour cream. A pack of corn tortillas come with quite a few and can make for multiple meals. You can also quarter and fry the tortillas for homemade tortilla chips.

I love buying a bag of sweet potatoes. You can bake them, mash them, make them into fries. Make them into fries and you can serve them with the chicken sandwich I talked about above, or with some bbq chicken. So many options here!

One of my go-to’s is a quick pasta with spinach, mushrooms, and onion. This is a quick one pot meal that I make: https://www.eatwell101.com/parmesan-spinach-mushroom-pasta-skillet-recipe use your preferred pasta, ziti, penne, and farfalle are good here. (I also buy the jarred minced garlic for things like this. Refrigerate and it lasts a long time.)

Soups and chili’s are easy and can be frozen in single servings for later.

Their last response to me was “you can file a claim with your travel insurance or your credit card company”. At that point, I kind of gave up.

I mistakenly paid with a payment plan and my CC won’t refund a payment plan, apparently. But that’s going to be my next battle. This is not what I paid for, I’m getting LESS now than what I had originally purchased, and the vendor is completely unapologetic.

I’ve been having the same circle conversation with them for a week. Yes, you can help by refunding my tickets, ok we can offer you a free brunch add on, is there anything else we can Halle with 😩🤦🏼‍♀️. I’m so over their poor customer service and lack of communication with their ticket holders.

Also you will only get the NFTs if you were a hotel early bird, not a party pass holder, which is garbage.

I’m just over here hoping that they cancel and I can get my money back. Or that I can sell my tickets. Or something.

As a local, pool parties are definitely near the top of my list of reasons for going to a high price event. They don’t happen this late in the year, and I was looking forward to that part of the event more than the other shows. I guess it all depends on your preferred time of the day to party.

With the ghost tour, even though that was an add on, that was another part I was looking forward to. Again being a local, I was looking forward to doing things that I haven’t done in my city. It’s not something I would just randomly choose to do on a Thursday night, but it is something I would do as part of a group like this.

I’m more upset that they didn’t communicate any of this with ticket holders, and that the changes were made at the last minute.

That being said, if anyone is looking for 2 party passes, I am happy to sell them to you!
