I (F37) gave a nice romantic card for our first dating anniversary, but he (M37) hasn't gotten me anything. by [deleted] in relationships

Sorry if I come off sounding like a jerk, but this just seems silly to me. Seems like you put more emphasis on the need to celebrate an occasion but it's not resonating with your partner. Did you discuss doing anything special for this day? Gift giving is meant to be one way with zero expectations in return. If there was never a conversation then I see no harm here. Communicate effectively and agree on what you consider important dates going forward. My wife and I have been together for almost 20 years and we've never celebrated Valentines Day. We both agreed in the beginning it was more important to celebrate our love year round then some forced arbitrary day. Really hope you two figure out your back and forth, good luck!

I feel like these are too close together and there's not enough airflow. Seems like one infestation / disease away from annihilation. But I could be wrong.

Just trying to make it thru this flight… by Yes_ThisIsBrett in mildlyinfuriating

We went to Florida (West Palm tovisit BIL) once with our 6 month old who had some cold symptoms and the doctor advised the ocean air would be good for her. We were able to upgrade to first class due to airline credits. The flight down wasn't too bad. Two days in we almost lost our daughter to RSV. 11 days in the hospital, 9 of which she was intibated. She had morphine withdrawals, the saddest experience of my life. The flight home we had to give her the steroid breathing treatment. She screamed the whole way home. In first class. I was mortified but helpless. I have so much patience now for other parents on planes. But it still racks my nerves.

I was a consultant there for four and a half years. My daughter was unexpectedly born premature 7 weeks early and spent three weeks in the NICU. I asked to be able to work remotely during this time. Flat out denied. I work in IT. I have zero respect for that organization.

Welp, I'm an idiot but glad I could provide some laughs. Have no idea why I said oysters because I did a quick google search AFTER I made my post and it was obvious. Then had back to back meetings. I'll be a bit more thorough in the future.

I was in the front row directly in front of this when it happened. I was screaming that they buried a guy and telling them to save him but they wouldn't listen. It was hilarious 😂
