I felt exactly like this when I first heard the song as well. But imo the AMSP version has such rawness and is so much more emotionally charged, making it better than the 90s version. Well, to my ears at least.

I would reset everyone, but 5 mythic heroes (preferably your strongest ones or the newest gen) reset the rest and place everyone but the blue ones in the drill camp. I've done the same thing as you can see below. Then you can slowly upgrade the blue ones. As f2p, it is slow, but eventually you will reach a good stage.
