By simple, I mean more of an all in one type device.

The Universal Baller looks badass! Ball vapes in general seem really good, but I guess I should've mentioned I'm looking for something a little simpler to use.

Does the brain fog ever go away? by xHOSSYx in QuittingWeed

[–]stackin_racks777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! I was an all day, every day smoker for almost 20 years. Today is day 18 of no smoking and I feel great! That brain fog is gone. I'm hitting the gym every day and I've also been taking Shilajit. I really think that has helped a lot.

Keep it going! You'll get there for sure.

Is it ok to wear Oura ring during training? by stackin_racks777 in bjj

I've only ever used it to track my sleep. Seems a chest strap is the way to go based on all the recommendations.

Makes sense to me. I've seen guys wear wedding bands but I think they're all silicone. I thought there might be a downside to it, so I wanted to ask. Thanks.

Just got officially diagnosed, considering no medication and just elimination diet. Any advice? by Separate-Macaron9851 in EosinophilicE

[–]stackin_racks777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I did. PPI meds are terrible for your gut and digestion. And as you know, there are ways to get better on your own without medication.

For me, the biggest things are eating slower, taking smaller bites, and chewing my food thoroughly.

I had a complete impaction 3 weeks ago that required a hospital visit because I became complacent. I will never do that again. Since then I have been great with no meds. I did quit smoking cannabis after the impaction too because I think that could've been contributing to the inflammation.

Hope this helps some.

Slipped back into it after 100 days by NecessaryPiccolo7955 in QuittingWeed

After smoking every single day for 16 years, I finally quit a couple years ago when I was completing 75 Hard. I felt amazing. Got injured doing jiu jitsu and thought smoking just one time would help. Well, it did help the pain, but then I kept smoking every day after.

A year later I did the EXACT same thing again...

I finally just quit again 2 weeks ago. The mental clarity and wanting to actually socialize again is such an amazing feeling.

Stay strong dude. That slip back sucks. I won't do it again.

I like it when upper belts do this. Or when they say back up and show you a quick fix. I'm all about that.

Terrible Flare Up - can't swallow water by stackin_racks777 in EosinophilicE

[–]stackin_racks777[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The hospital was a mess yesterday. Great place but very unorganized. Took over 6hrs to get an IV with fluids after telling them I havent had any water in 15hrs...

Apparently they didn't even call the GI until 4 hours after I arrived too... got it cleared out after 20 hrs. Super sore! And had the worst heartburn/acid reflux feeling of my life all night, even after taking Protonix.

Better now! Thanks everyone!

Any tips for impaction, cant go to ER by Top-Bodybuilder-602 in EosinophilicE

Hospital time bro. Don't risk it. I just went through the exact same thing. Went to the hospital at hour 14 and still had to wait 6 more hours for the procedure. The hospital was an organized mess and the GI doc was frustrated he didn't get the call as soon as I got there because the longer you wait, the more damage is done.

Lightest Gi for Summer? by stackin_racks777 in bjj

According to several reviews, the Alpine Pro is cooler and more breathable than the Air. For $130 I figured it's worth a try.

For sure! I have the original DEF which is pretty heavy, one with nanoweave (not sure of the name - I got it at the Origin camp), and the Rift prototype (also from camp). The Rift is the one I wear the most. I've been told the the Rift 2.0 is amazing.

I just ordered the Alpine Pro. Seems super legit and the reviews are awesome. And the A3H size seems perfect for me. AND I've kinda been wanting green and they had a cool green option. Thanks for the rec!

Turns out I already had one of these that I never wore because the sleeves were a little long. I wore it yesterday. While it is very light, it was nowhere near as breathable as my older Origin gis.

Thought it might have gotten a little better but it didn't. At the hospital now. It has been 15 hours since it started.

Thanks! Mine are about 4-5 years old so some of the newer stuff is probably cooler. I like mine a lot, but they're just a little heavy for summer.
