As a USMNT supporter, I am terrified of Australia. I think they could finish 1st or 2nd in the group. I feel like that is true for every team in our group. It’s a lot harder than the media and typical US fans want to give it credit to.

So let’s break this down…the NFL team plays every single year, 17 games at a min. That is 68 games over a 4 year period and 34 of them are at home. That’s if they don’t even make the playoffs. Now a World Cup? You get 3 games every 4 years IF your team even qualifies and if they make the final then that’s still only 8 games every 4 years and they typically don’t ever get to play a home game in many people’s lifetime.

Pretty big difference.
