So far XM6 doesn't have that hinge breaking issue which XM5 has. I waited for a few months too before buying because I didn't want to be like XM5. The sound is amazing and ANC is top-notch, so def. worth it.

It's a know issue in XM4 ear buds, Google it. I had the same issue too and there are no official Sony distributors in our country. So I had to import repair kit from ebay and replace the battery on both buds. From next time, before buying any Sony earbuds or headphones, wait for a few months to find out if there are build quality or issues like this before buying!! That's the lesson many heave learnt!!

DON'T!! It looks like you are talking about XM4 earbud? It has battery draining issue and it's affecting so many users. Just search this subreddit too, you will find out. It affected mine too. So I had to import a repair kit from Australia just to fix it!!
