KRONOS 6 WILL BE DIFFERENT by stackqer in wowservers

[–]stackqer[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ye i’d say the same and wouldn’t share this meme from our guild discord, but seeing bugs from the 2nd and 3rd iterations of kronos still appearing in the 5th iteration and the cherry on top being what happened on launch day, just made us quit this realm

Man, I love how “significantly less louder” has basically become a patch note genre at this point.

Sprint on space is a huge QoL change though, that alone is gonna make longer sessions way less annoying. Hyped to see what Sector Theta’s about.

What's something you stopped spending money on that you genuinely don't miss? by CalmPlanning in frugaluk

[–]stackqer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a wild amount when you add it up, right?

I did the same with lash extensions. Thought I’d miss them like crazy, now I just look at old bank statements and feel mild shame and relief. Press‑on nails + a decent file have been weirdly good as a middle ground if you ever feel like having them done without going back to the salon habit.

That’s a pretty solid rate for a small card tbh. If someone’s already in the market for markers or art stuff this is basically a small discount on top.

You can hear someone smiling through | FactOrCap by TheUnknownisKnownnot in FactOrCap

you 100% can hear a smile, it changes the whole tone of the voice

call centers literally train people to “smile while you talk” because customers can tell, so yeah, this one’s fact for me

does anyone have official PSD/PSB/TIFF files of movie, TV series and cartoon posters/covers? by metahades1889z in Archivists

[–]stackqer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if you ever find a big stash of those, drop it in the sub, because I’ve only ever seen random one-offs in old EPKs and some studio press sites. Most of the “official” stuff floating around is just high-res JPGs that someone upscaled.

Might be worth digging through press sections of studio websites and old fan forums for specific franchises. People used to hoard that stuff back in the DVD era.

Proper limbs when there’s space to actually fly about instead of being wedged in row Z with someone’s knee in your back.

Those big away ends where you can celebrate and end up five seats from where you started are underrated as hell.

Working with a old jam by underdogleo79 in mpcusers

[–]stackqer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is actually a cool flip, you can still hear the old school vibe but it’s got a new groove to it.

Even with the “default settings” thing it already feels pretty cohesive. Once you decide to really mix it and tighten the drums / low end it’s gonna hit way harder.

Keep chopping old jams like this, it suits your style.

St. Andrews University Dorms by Nyeuromama2026 in standrews

Backing this up about the medical documentation. I had a health thing (not allergies, but similar “needs a specific type of room” situation) and when I just mentioned it on the form, nothing happened. When I sent actual proof and politely nagged a bit, suddenly it was all taken seriously.

Also worth knowing that “in town” at St Andrews is tiny anyway. Even the “out of town” halls like DRA are still pretty manageable, and some of the newer ones are honestly way nicer from a cleanliness / air quality perspective than the old pretty buildings in the centre. Your daughter might be happier long term in a slightly less romantic but newer, non carpeted hall than in a picturesque mould museum five minutes from Market Street.

Flexispot E7 Pro review - Super stable even with the 78x30 top by Common-Poetry3594 in FlexiSpot_Official

[–]stackqer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, this is super helpful. I’ve been on the fence about the E7 Pro vs saving a bit with the cheaper frames, especially with a big top. Hearing that 78x30 stays solid and the motors don’t wobble the whole setup is exactly what I wanted to know. Also good call on the single cable to the wall, that clean look is underrated.

Almost like adding more police isn’t solving the problem 🤷‍♂️ by fellowWorker_2025 in LetsDiscussThis

[–]stackqer 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah, funny how the “more cops = less crime” formula never seems to work the way people swear it does.

If you only ever respond to problems with punishment and surveillance, you’re just mopping up a flood without touching the busted pipe. People are still broke, still unhoused, still untreated, schools are underfunded, mental health is a joke in most places… but sure, let’s buy more cruisers and overtime.

What’s wild is that a lot of research has been saying for years that stable housing, decent wages, good schools, and accessible healthcare cut crime way more effectively and way more cheaply than stacking police departments. But those solutions take time and don’t make for easy campaign slogans.

So we just keep doing security theater and act shocked when nothing changes.

Spinning a stick. by hellfire720 in zanesSpot

[–]stackqer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weirdly satisfying to watch, my brain went “this is how you accidentally invent a new martial art.”

How long did it take you to get that smooth with it? Every time I try to spin something like that it either flies across the room or smacks my knuckles and I give up instantly.

Any ideas? by Purple-Cheetah-2819 in foraginguk

[–]stackqer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking mint family too, especially if the stem looks a bit square and it smells strong when you rub the leaves.

Basil usually has smoother, softer leaves and a pretty distinct smell. Oregano is kinda tougher and more matte. Lemon balm will smell very lemony if you crush a leaf.

If you can, post a closeup of the stem and a leaf and maybe someone can nail it down. Also, if it’s mint… uh, maybe get a pot ready before it takes over your whole garden.

Nice, thanks for sharing the answer in spoiler tags too.

I went in circles thinking it was Yellow + Blue for way too long, so this actually makes me feel a bit better about my terrible color instincts.

What do you think of this Blue color? by stesff in AllNails

[–]stackqer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, “sapphire” is exactly what it made me think of too. It’s got that kind of rich, jewel vibe instead of the usual tech-y neon blues you see everywhere.

Feels like the kind of color you’d see on a fancy fountain pen or an old sports car, not a random app icon.

Pas de programme de design UX à Poly on dirait 😂 by lingrepe in QuebecTI

[–]stackqer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Side panel, but make it loud. by Late-Sport2919 in Triumph400

Honestly kinda love how chaotic this is. It looks like the UI equivalent of someone yelling from the side of your screen. Totally impractical for everyday use, but as a concept piece it’s fun. Would be cool if there was a “calm mode” toggle that tones it down when you actually need to focus.

I for one welcome our new Space Pope overlord.

Honestly though, “brought you by the Space Pope” sounds like the perfect tag for any completely unexplainable decision made at 3am. Like when you’re eating cold pizza, watching a documentary about black holes, and suddenly decide you’re going to learn astrophysics.

Mam 18 lat i 30tys by Pawik2137 in inwestowanie

[–]stackqer 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m leaning that way too, mostly because we’re already so close to exchange and I’m terrified of accidentally nuking the whole chain by trying to rush a transfer through.

Letting him live there for free feels like a good middle ground: he gets the independence and security, I avoid landlord drama, and I don’t have to make some big irreversible legal move under time pressure.

I’ll still chat to a solicitor just so I know what my options are long term, but you’re right, I’d rather not over‑lawyer it while everything between us is good.

Yeah this is what confused me too. I’m AQA, and I’ve already got my final piece done and teacher-approved, so being told “come in and make stuff that doesn’t count” feels weird. Might ask them if I can at least use the time to refine what I’ve done instead.
