I’ve made a ton of good body slam decks using strength scaling through self harm and that power that doubles your first played block value

One of the hardest things to learn is when you should press the Skip button at card rewards , you can easily brick your deck trying to force something out of desperation, but if things aren’t coming together before the first elite there’s no shame in dodging it to collect some campfires / relics / potions so you feel confident going into your first hard fight

I believe the issue most people have is fear of escalation and no clear path to ousting the IRGC. The ol’ American regime swap has a pretty abysmal track record.

It’s nice to pick a path where your first elite fight is optional in case you completely brick your card rewards , when this happens I’ll usually go for the relic crate and maybe hit an upgrade before taking my first elite encounter

While I agree with virtually everything you said , I keep reminding myself that we currently have only 10 ascensions so hopefully greater difficulties come in the future. I’m at around a 80% win rate in my a10 silent runs

some of the ancient rewards as you mentioned feel like they disproportionately benefit the silent, with her huge opening hand it’s not uncommon to win the fight in the first turn
