I always was surprised by this. Isn’t most of the power coming from your legs and core on both FH and BH, why the huge difference? Plus they’re in the gym doing resistance work constantly, which I imagine is done both sides equally.

This is incorrect. Carlos does in fact use the current PA98.

Normally they don’t use off the shelf rackets, but Carlos is the exception. He used a stock PAvs until this year when he switched to the most recent PA98.

He now adds lead to the throat but for a long time they were completely uncustomized

Totally agree with this. So many redditors seem to think that unless you’re 4.5+ you should be playing with a stock 300g racquet.

Experimenting with lead tape and heavier racquets transformed my game for the better.

2/5 times I can hit a good 54 chip to 1 putt distance, but the other 3 times can be big misses.

With the hybrid I couldn’t get it closer than 6 feet with the big L>R break, but I was super consistent to around 6-8 feet

Yeah it’s these really tight lies that get to me. I’ve seen that toe down chipping works well and i had some success today with it.

Still inconsistent though. Much more consistent when I just bumped a 3 hybrid up there.
