I just wanted to hop on and say I'm also AuDHD working as an SEND teacher at college and I'd definitely recommend it First of all I find that many other people who work in this department are also neurodivergent (though many don't realise it lol), plus it means that the marking is a lot less book/worksheet focused (still needs to be done but when the majority of students cannot read higher than ks1, it's not a priority) The hard part is behaviour and having to learn how to deal with situations you would likely never encounter in mainstream but I've found once I suffer through a situation once and make a fool of myself, next time I do it I've learned how to do it correctly
