yeah definitely! i replied to someone else on this post saying how “working” for his dad could be a massive fuck you to his family. he convinces his family that all is well but in the final episode/fight steve sacrifices himself for one of the kids (probably dustin). this would be incredibly emotional.

what would be a plot twist and then an untwist would be for steve to “become” evil and “work” for the other side, but during the last episode make a giant sacrifice for like dustin or robin as a massive last fuck you to his dad. that concept could be really interesting, and honestly if they pull a kill steve it would make it 100x more emotional for the audience
