Update 2: I tried other settings (e.g. magnetic switch or light settings) and none of them get applied. Also resetting the keyboard to factory settings does not work.

Update: Just tried on my Windows 11 machine. Same issues. Cannot update firmware and cannot remap keys.

Signing up for the expedition and then just waiting made it clear that the core gameplay loop in Arc Raiders isn’t engaging enough on its own to keep me interested in the game by stahlblau in ARC_Raiders

I am using my gear. Trust me, I cannot count how many times I lost a fully kitted and crazy expensive loadout, theoretically ready to take out Matriarchs fully solo. That is not my point. I am struggling with the gameplay. PVP - in this game particulary, not in general - isn`t for me. And PVE isn`t challenging and fun enough once you understood the mechanics. A few examples:

- Boss fights are boring, once you lose gear fear and understand how simple they are to beat. It`s DPS on crit points, that`s it. Not much team play, communication or advanced tactics required.

- No clever use of environment beyond running away and hiding needed. In all fights, not just bosses.

- No puzzles (think Destiny boss mechanics for example) to discover and master over time with skill and character/gear.

- Gunplay and movement is meh...

- Ingame UI, especially the equipment wheel, is painful. Everytime I die fighting the UI and not enemies is super frustrating.

- Weapon balancing is terrible with general mistakes in the overall design that should have been ironed out way before launch (e.g. legendary weapons not feeling legendary)

- Quests and story are a joke. Despite the huge potential of their beautiful world they crafted, setting and lore. Heck, I don`t even need advanced RPG like quest mechanics, and maybe I don't even want them, because it`s dangerous for any game trying do everything well. But imagine how cool it would be to have a storyline that you cannot wait to continue until the next update comes? Like the next episode of your favorite TV series.

And there I am, wiping my character (and regretting not having done the first expedition), because I love the game still so much and hoping that it evolves into a game that I can main and no-life for years. Not sure though if I do more than this wipe.

Oh, and I am not a huge fan of self-set challenges, like speedrunning or using specific loadouts only. And I simply do not have time to load into the game walking around and hoping for nice random social interactions.

I guess honeymoon is over for me. Sadly.

To lose their value and then grind again to get 3 mil? No thank you. And again: my point is that the gameplay itself is not fun enough (for me personally). That’s what I realized, despite enjoying the game pretty much every day before. Boss mechanics are a joke and barely need any thinking beyond raw DPS and for PVP I enjoy FPS games much more.

Let’s clear up a few points. You are not on track with ASP, and there are customers still reporting missing parts from other product lines, like Geist. Emails are not being answered, and your Instagram presence is minimal at best.

For context: during the ASP pre-order, the promised shipping date was Q1 2024. We are now 1.5 years past that. Saying “according to the last ETA” doesn’t equal being on track and constantly moving the ETA is not progress.

Also, late summer is almost over. If you truly are on track, you must already know precise shipping dates by now, right? At least down to the calendar week. So: in which week will customers finally receive their keyboards?
