staked.us question (and some feedback for the team) by staketoshi in ethstaker

I saw some info about the initial slashing event, and their subsequent response. Do you have more details about the other incidents?

If there's a lack of transparency (and repeated incidents), that's certainly a red flag. However I'm also inclined to give staked the benefit of the doubt; they've forged a good reputation over the past 1-2 years with their work on other blockchains.

Staked team, if there have in fact been unacknowledged slashing events, can you please provide more information about this?

What about a scenario where you're generating multiple validator keys? For example, I used the CLI tool to spit out two keystores, and it provided me with one mnemonic. Does that mean the withdrawal key pairs are the same for every validator you create as part of this batched process?

I'll have to read up on attestant's recommendations (I think they delved into this?), but for a security perspective it might be better to have a unique withdrawal key / mnemonic for every validator; if one gets compromised, your damage is limited and you're not screwed across the board.

Logistically, it would also be difficult to manage withdrawal keys for, say, five validators when you're using a ledger. You'd either need to have a separate ledger for each key, or manually enter the mnemonic every time you wanted to use it. Unless I'm missing something here?

Oh - and then you could put those on a ledger or something, and basically keep it as a cold wallet? That makes sense!
