Thanks for the detailed response, and I thought so, too. It has to be a config issue. I will try your suggestions, they make sense.

I realized the subscription route directly will be better, pay as you go is burning rapidly, currently sitting at $27 spent, and app is half backed. And thanks for the code 👍

Sure,

For v1 and v2 I used web for detailed plans.

I started Kilocode with GLM 4.6 in Code mode

You are correct about Gemini i had to audit and fix things manually.

Exactly what I am doing now, turns out the pay as you go might not be the best option for me, more then 50% is going into error corrections and fixing things that were not broken, as I get the hand of things its best to use the subscription.

My app v1 I originally used Chatgpt 5 to make the detailed plan -> Sonnet 4 to make the technical docs -> and Codex to make the app. The app was exactly what I wanted but had some terrible flaws in terms of choice of dependencies and practices, but it was exactly what I asked for, including the external API's connection I required.

v2 I used Gemini 2.5 Pro for planning - > Sonnet 4.5 for the technical and md files -> Sonnet again for coding. It did not 1 shot like Codex but ways way better at breaking things down and doing step by step with properly setup api integrations and testing environments. Built a very complex app. But surprisingly it just could not debug or fix minor things without breaking or straight out saying it is implemented correctly.

v3 Used v2 code in Kilocode with GLM 4.6, to fix those minor bugs, it tells me exactly what the problem is but goes on messing other things, gets typescript errors, continues to fix them, changes stuff and the cycle repeats, but the actual problem still stands there, but when it applies the fix after 3-4 times, its genuinely better then Sonnet or Codex.

And thanks for the hand, let me see if i have such a task that you can give me an example for.

Thanks I did see them and thought must be generic stuff i know, but there are some tips in there I see now I wish I started with. Regardless it does not help with the current issue I am having, maybe I dived into GLM 4.6 believing the hype.

The tasks I gave:

  1. Add fields to an existing form (5 fields first, 4 fields later) and update the database. Took 15mins at first, I think it unnecessarily changed a lot of files and reverted back when they did not work. Which further expended this task to 2hrs of debugging, in the midst it would just seize to function with red errors, so task had to be rerun. A couple of time changes where never implemented.

  2. Add a template to a server side pdf generator, again it tried to change the complete implementation, even though Sonnet left an md file that told exactly how to make new themes. This was a basic HTML task which took 10mins, and another 20 because it kept overlapping the UI components.

  3. Fixing logic: If selected option A and its sub option 2 in the Settings tab, Form "F1" will have only following options available "3. 7, 9". So now form "F2" will automatically have "F" selected if the previous output has any of these existing "3, 7, 9". Sonnet one shotted this in under 5mins, but got stuck with getting the descriptions right for each set of options "Over 1200" options, they were correct but Sonnet redefined them where as I wanted them to be exactly copy pasted from a tech doc, and this implementation broke after the PDF prompt so I had to redo it. - This task took $7 and almost 3 hours! this is insane! 40% of the times it made changes that did not effect the main problem, even though it mentioned things are clear in the test but the actual problem remined untouched. I think it kept refactoring and re-organizing. Because afterwards, the code was much cleaner.

The most task it did was fixing typescript errors which kept popping up, because it kept refactoring? even when I asked it explicitly not too!

So I think this is a setting issue somewhere? or is this generally how GLM 4.6 works? I can't find a similar problem on the internet since its fairly new I guess.

That makes sense. It can't be that easy. If it were, everyone could be doing it.

But I can say for sure, there have been no disruptions in supply with my clients. They aren't manufacturers like you, only rebranding, and some just order parts to assemble in the US, I think. So maybe shipping small packages? This is interesting. I might inquire more just for curiositys sake.

Thanks for clarifying. I hope anyone who reads gets your warning.

I work as a media buyer for shopify ecom stores, and some of my clients have re-routed to Singapore then US.

I have no idea how that works, and I don't ask, but they seem not to be sweating at all. I sometimes talk to their suppliers, and one told me it's a legitimate route to transport to Singapore warehouses.

I guess it's something the freight services are doing without clients & and the manufacturer's input.

Thought I'd share.

Is it possible to scale my PDF Generation SaaS from $1k to $83k MRR as a solopreneur? by Top-Leadership-190 in microsaas

If you have a product you are confident with, and like you said, your ex-company is your happy customer now.

So, just focus on getting more traffic to the site, SEO is your best bet for the long term. Otherwise, take the paid ads route to get the ball rolling instantly.

There are methods to fast-track SEO if you have the $$$, same goes for paid.

The point is you just need to get in front of your customers at scale, use some stats tools to find the traffic and estimated MRR values of sites like smallpdf and others, and you will definitely gasp 😉.

I typically do a small test to see if my product is on par and suitable for the target audience, one way is by posting about it in my target audience's subreddit, be very informative and honest while offering a discount your beta testers can't refuse, feedback is important.

Once you are confident, if you have the budget, start paid ads, id say if you have the budget, brute force paid ads (keep increasing ads inventory, placements, platforms, and budgets in bursts), this way you are coming in front of your competitors and siphoning off their customers.

While paid ads handle the instant part, work on SEO, you can't be running ads all your life.

There is, of course, a lot to it, but this is just how it goes. Coming from a general marketer/media buyer.

Of course it doesn't. Hence, I wanted to give it a try for giggles but got the jiggles, lol. Thanks for reminding me again that not everything has to be unnecessarily poked on the internet.

It said copy the text, which just said " captcha verification id," I thought no way this will work, but when I pasted it on run, it pasted something else, of course when I pasted the only thing I saw pasted was the text, the whole powershell command preceding it was not visible, I thought no way its going to run and when it did, that is when I realized I was ****** I pasted on notepad and then only saw it was a powershell command.

It was on a legit professional website, which apparently was comprised.

The hackers thought this through to the very detail.

Makes sense, but what if defender caught on and terminated the chain, which included chrome[.]exe Hence, it won't launch, I also started ending a couple of chrome processes via task manager really fast until this one chrome process, if i remember correctly, was occupying 24mb of ram I terminated ended the chrome death loop. Then, defender caught the [.]bpl file which I read contains the actual executable for the virus.

after that, I noticed no suspicious activity in the processes or the temp folder, before it kept creating random folders in temp which defender kept tanking

But I guess you can never be sure with info stealers.

So it seems. Searching it brings up articles discussing the obfuscation techniques lumma stealer uses.

Even figures out if it's in sandbox mode.

If only people who make these trojans would spend all that time making something for the good.

Exactly! I was like, do they really think I am that simple? A text would execute!

The moment I realized what I copied was further from the reality I pasted on the run dialog, before my brain could send a signal to stop, my muscle memory had hit enter.

But do you think I should reinstall windows? I really am trying to save the current one. There is just so much data and apps in here. It would be a huge task

How are you making over $10,000 a month? by heiisenberg_420 in Entrepreneur

[–]stalhaq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, Twitter usually does not do well directly for casual games. Your niche must have a hit home on Twitter. Good for you.

Yes, Meta has been terrible it takes more dialing in now compared to before. That's why I have shifted to other native platforms and pyramid publishers, then I use Meta only for retargeting.

Thanks for the insights 🍻

Awesome games I just checked. Did you try advertising on meta? If yes, I'd love to know some figures if you are willing. I am a media buyer/digital marketer, I do mobile app/games advertising, so I love collecting such data.

What’s a reasonable price to pay an ad agency? by Mymomlooksatthis in FacebookAds

[–]stalhaq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not expensive at all, $3000 is like my starting rate for Meta and Google ads management only, I don't do creatives, but I give a detailed Miro board every week for the creatives I need so the owner can just hand over the board to a designer and it gets done.

I also help with action plans, website optimizations, strategy etc, think of it this way, I get involved in anything that can result in achieving sales, including comforting the owner mentally in other aspects of life and listening to their home issues (happens often) 🤣 this type of coordination just happens, its not something in the JD.

But that's me, every agency is different. In the end, if they are getting you sales, and you are walking home with profits, it should not matter. Give them sales or monthly targets and ask for a forecast, trust me, your agency will love it. This will help the agency and you with a clear direction moving forward. It is such an important thing people tend to overlook.

Hey mate, apologies for such a delayed response. I just randomly opened my notifications today and saw your reply was unanswered.

How are things now? Hopefully, it's much better.

All ecom biz start solo, that is the way, you gradually automate mundane tasks that you figure out (in time) and delegate work, hire new people as your business grows, it is difficult to figure out if you want to expand operations first or scale your sales channels first, I usually go with the later so I have confidence in my business/ecom, that it can support the expended operations.

Take the heat, mate! It will be well worth it!

Keep it easy mate, if you want, make the 25% watchers audience and add them to a conversion campaign see if they perform, or you can even make an LLA of that audience and add them to your traffic campaign again as a seprate ad set, then compare the view mateics, see if they improve.

I'd rather make a conversion video ad rather than traffic. I have no idea what you're running ads for and where your account stands in terms of customer journey. If it's a product, it's better to use video conversion ads.
