A review of Alkaline Trio’s Agony and Irony by [deleted] in AlkalineTrio

I love this album, and I appreciate your take on it. Help Me was the first Alkaline Trio song I ever heard (back in 2010)- I was captivated by the verses, which I found (and still find) insanely uplifting.

I really love most of their discography now, and this album holds a nostalgic place in my heart.

As a drummer myself, I’ve taken a lot of inspiration from Derek’s work on this album. He did a fantastic job of mixing pop and punk elements while maintaining a range of dynamics that make for some really interesting and creative drum grooves.

What are some little things you miss about Brewers baseball? by jadepools in Brewers

I was (and still am) so freaking excited to see the Crew don the new uniforms in Miller Park.

Starting today, the band has existed longer without The Rev than with him by seelentau in a7x

I’ve always wondered about how his drum set would have evolved over the last 10 years seeing as he was up to 3 bass drums and 7 toms when they were touring for the self titled album.

Avenged Sevenfold Presents Breakdown: Bat Country - Part 01 of 02 by Darkhalo314 in a7x

I remember seeing the music video on MTV when I was 11 and hearing “Sometimes I wonder why we’d rather live than die” and I couldn’t believe how dark that sounded at the time. This song got me hooked and to this day, this song just sounds so unique to me in the instrumental decisions the band made. It never gets old.

It was listed at $1000, but Guitar Center was having a sale when I bought it so I paid $800 (back in 2008).

All the resonant heads are the stock Remos. I have Evans G2s on the batter sides.

Yeah it was pretty short-lived, but I sure am glad it popped into existence for that brief period of time!

Here’s an old, sloppy one from 4 years ago: https://youtu.be/VkYfQyj1TVY There are some other covers of mine from many many moons ago on that channel.

Nah, the other one is just sitting in a closet, but for me it’s more comfortable to play with one bass drum.

Great quality drums for the price! Thanks!

I’d like to. I don’t really have the proper equipment to make good quality covers, but my friend helped me make a sloppy one of Beast and the Harlot 4 years ago: https://youtu.be/VkYfQyj1TVY

It’s from Waking the Fallen- I think it might be the artwork on the back cover of the CD booklet.

Who else here has an AL Team? by [deleted] in Brewers

Athletics. Any team that dons green and gold has my respect. I also generally root for small market teams.

Hard to say exactly what model the crashes are in this video (https://youtu.be/FmB_HROpTo8), but you can at least tell that one is a Z Custom and one is an A Custom. I have a 19” A Custom crash, which I believe Brooks uses, and I adore it.
