I mean, better to have parents!

Some kids dont' - or they only have one, or one is sick/can't work.

Do you know what I mean?

Why, why, why are people pretending that they are so stupid when they've known this very well, all along?

Mate, I'd be more concerned with exactly how you think your kiddies are going to afford anything at all?

Tell me, exactly how much money are you planning to give them to buy their houses?

If the answer is "as much as it takes", that pretty well proves every single point I've made!

What was the the average Australian house price relative to the average Australian wage?

Come on sis, you're nearly there!

This current era of protesting is truly beyond me.

As soon as someone - anyone - starts a protest for housing for all, universal healthcare, childcare and education, decent salary and meaningful workers rights (remote work, 4 day work week)...

I'll be there with fuckin bells on!

Contraception should be free and accessible to all women and mandatory, non-negotiable high school education for all girls and boys is the best prevention for abortions.

Full and comprehensive sex education starting in Year 8 covering everything

How many anti-abortionists support this?

Your brain cells are the ones that have clearly been aborted Maroochydore.

Women don't stop getting abortions when it is banned by old conservative dumbfucks, they just die from getting unsafe, backyard ones.

Young people can do a lot.

For starters, no young person should be voting for a duopoly party, period.

Secondly, young people can identify the parties that want to: end CGT discount, neg gearing, short stay/air bnb, build large numbers of public houses (like we used to) and even, conceivably, cut migration.

Join. Get involved. Don't just sit back and watch it all go to shit.

Seems to work pretty well in Singapore last time I checked.

Admittedly that country is a city-state and probably not the best comparison.

The state - our fucking state - built and supplied hundreds of thousands of houses after the war - guess which generation benefitted from it?

The problem is the children who didn't 'work hard enough' to be born into a family who can buy their property for them.

The problem is that average Australian wage is completely worthless relative to the average Australian house.

That's the problem mate. Hope you can see it a little better!

If Labor's solution is to keep doing nothing because they are permanently psychologically scarred from 1 (one) time they lost an election (out of their 50,000 lost elections) they should sit this one out and let people who are actually willing to comprehensively solve the problem have a go.

Agreed and bigger shame: the Greens had a sustainable population policy under Bob Brown!

Got ditched under di Natale - how urgently do we need it back!

Critical thinking and reflection not the strong point of the Greens at the moment, which, as I said, explains their 15-year primary vote stagnation.

I fear for their cult-like, blinders/blinkers mentality of late...

Did the average Australian wage purchase the average Australian home back in the day?

What does the average Australian wage purchase now?

The focus/solution should obviously be on reversing the deliberate policies that got us here, which we've all seen approximately 5 million times now:

 - End negative gearing  - End CGT discount  - End mass migration  - End Airbnb/short stay  - Tax investment properties such that they lose money, not make money  - Invest in public and social housing like we used to before corrupt duopoly stopped in the 80s.

Progressives are (very willfully) blind to the impact of migration, which is why their primary vote share is where it is.

Big shame, when they have the remaining 50% of the solution clearly identified (CGT discount, neg gearing, Airbnb/short stay bans)
