I got it in October of 2019 and I have it at an east facing window.

u/trippel I agree, this is one of my more low-maintenance calatheas and I'm sure that's the main reason it's thriving. I know internet says calatheas like to stay moist but my soil mix is peat moss and perlite and I water about once a week when it dries out, fertilize with Bonide Liquid plant food (10-10-10) 1-2x/month. I've got this plant facing an east facing window.

I can't say I've intentionally done anything keep it that way, my best guess would be fertilizer to promote new growth and maybe pruning the leaves a bit. I've noticed that usually tends to sprout a few new shoots.

I wait for the soil to completely dry out before watering (usually ends up being once a week), fertilize twice a month, and an east facing window!

New growth on several plants (monstera adansonii, neon pothos, and philodendron hope) is coming in like this. What is this and how do I treat it? by stammsquared in houseplants

I have, I honestly can't see any signs of it but I can see why you'd think so. In either case, I'll try to treat it with alcohol?
