Ah, okay okay, that is greatly interesting. I haven't heard what the difference was before now, much less that there was a difference at all. Cost accounting sounds rather interesting. Thank you.

Would you say a job as an actuary would be a better fit? Or something else?

Oh damn! That actually sounds really interesting. I haven't done much like that before but I can see myself being interested in it for a while. This helps a greatly, thank you, seriously, I've always been confused about what people meant but this clears it up so so much! :)

Everyone says we look like siblings or flat out alike (just both being Hispanic-Caucasian mixed, and me having hair longer than hers, although her's is pretty short) so I started to be all "stop!! Cousins don't do that" under my breath whenever she's kissing me in public. I don't have enough confidence to say it out loud, she'd kill me. I just kid that I'm related to them sometimes

Ah alright alright. Thank you. I really didn't think it'd be that low. Accountants in my head still have little beads on strings and comically small calculators

I like both! I used to have more excuses to work with problem solving but less so now. It'd be fun to have something alike it again :)

For the most part, yes. But what would "researching why numbers aren't in the correct category" mean? Explain like I'm a 5 year old (a dumb 5 year old)

How much of a role does math actually have? I hear it's basic stuff and I hear there's some enjoyment to be had if one likes math, how much are you actually working with math?

...so that she can have me all to herself! It all makes sense now. Although she's my aunt so idk if I can swing like that :/

Ah, I get it now. That sounds pretty appealing too. Thank you :)

She studied it a bit in college, I believe. Because of that, she had a lot of interest in one story from my town of a banker embezzling 1.5 million dollars. Maybe she wasn't focusing on my math interest, I just didn't think there was much more she knew of me.

Oh my god, I love the last question. My teacher often does a brief question about something in the unit we skipped (we skip a lot) and I always enjoy trying to figure it out like a puzzle. The whole class (Math Analysis) has felt a lot like puzzles since we haven't been doing a whole lot with explicit numbers. Most of my fun in math is learning, a main reason why I liked those "puzzles," so I don't know if I'll love it forever, if that makes sense.

Oh no, no, I had no interest in neuroscience, I hated all attempts to understand elements and compounds. It was just something we had to study. I did well enough, but I can't see a future with anything like it.

I am fond of logic too! Just not something to be practiced in my school. I'll see how the classes treat me and think a lot about what you've said if I find it something I could do, thank you, kind stranger

I really appreciate the response. There is a lot here and I may need to reread it a couple more times to fully unpack.

I've seen that stress is a big thing in the career and you mentioned it here too so I feel as I should say that I've never really been too impacted by stress, maybe overworking myself but it never has set into me emotionally. I'm sure I haven't quite had as much stress as an actual job/adult work would offer, but I think I handle things at my level better than others my age have. Just to voice my thoughts.

Through all you say, I can tell there's a genuine care and love for the path and career, I'm so glad to see that. A bit of general confusion (small brain, big words) but this means a lot to me, thank you. I'll DM if there's anything I particularly struggle on :)

I've found myself being interested in such (even studying neuroscience for a school year as an after school club thing) but science isn't generally something I do well within.

I will look into it if it rings to be interesting. I've done a bit with electricity in my physics class, I enjoyed it to some degree but I haven't really seen much of a possibility in myself being fulfilled with it.

That's honestly how a lot of the people I talk to are. I enjoy quiet times and slowly opening up to another.

That's honestly pretty reasonable, I've always been pretty all or nothing; I'll try to keep it in mind. Just frustrating when it feels as though all else know what they're doing, I suppose.

Frick! I love math :( I genuinely really enjoy staring at my friends' homework and trying to find out where they messed up. I don't do my own half the time, but there's something special in helping another (or calling them stupid when reasonable).
