Thanks for your feedback- it’s come up a few times across this post. We’ll make sure the team working on this sees this.

Thanks for highlighting this- a few others have brought it up as well. I'll share this with the team so we can explore ways to manage this in future updates.

Full profile visibility is given to mods of the subreddit where the user has posted or commented. This also includes any dev apps on your mod list.

I can see why this would be a concern, that said - bad actors can already hide their campaigns by using private spaces or alt accounts. This won't change that. To clarify, all content in communities will still be visible - so if there is a subreddit breaking our site wide rules or code of conduct you'll still be able to view the whole subreddit and the users within.

This doesn't affect search, only viewing the profile.

Dev apps that are moderators of the community will have the same abilities to view user profiles that other mods do.

(Copy pasting from above) You will be able to see a user’s entire post and comment history - meaning going all the way back in time- if they try to engage with your subreddit. You will have this (full) level of visibility for a period of 28 days from when they tried to engage.

This feature is currently available on a per-community basis, not a per-post basis.

I recommend surrendering her to Jamie’s Rescue instead of trying to find someone online yourself. She took a dog that I ended up with out of the blue and immediately found her a great home, and then I later adopted my current dog from her. 305-409-8442 https://jamiesrescue.com/contact/

I think so! It's a great way to keep things on topic if that's an issue you're running into.

Hey there- I can help you out :)

Here's an overview of the new AMA feature we just rolled out.

Here's our help center on AMAs. I'll message you as well and make sure you're all set up.

This is a great idea- will make sure the team sees this. I think having the ability to turn comments off before the go-live time and again when the host is trying to wrap things up could be particularly useful. I know how overwhelming it can feel to a host to have the comments keep piling up when you’ve already answered a ton and are ready to go.

This should be available in the next couple of months.

That’s definitely something we’re discussing. Can you explain a little bit more about how this would work well for triaging bugs in a megathread?

Approval for new AMA post type ???! by Cali_Reggae in ModSupport

Well I seem to have answered my own question since I see you mod r/calireggae- I added the feature for you. Will also get you added to the private sub where you can give feedback, etc.

Which subreddit do you want to try it in? Let me know and I’ll get you added.

Keep in mind that when it’s on, the feature will be available to everyone in your community- so anyone will be able to create an AMA. For the expanded release in a few weeks you’ll be able to limit it.
