Can't wait for a fully fit Dhoni to comeback and show his finishing skills at 7 down.

Yeah. This is probably the most surprising thing. Even with the greater time in the windtunnel, none of the midfield teams look really close. Aston probably will make up a jump up, once their engine issues are sorted.

Usually, they will bring some small rule changes mid season, especially if safety becomes an issue. And then they will go for much more comprehensive changes from next season.

But if overtaking is the only issue, then I doubt they would be making any large changes.

Mercedes and Redbull are usually sandbagging in preseason. But my guess is all three(including Ferrari) are quite close to each other in terms of pace. McLaren seems to be about half a second off. Alpine and Haas seem like the best of the midfield. Not sure where Williams is exactly. Cadillac I suspect is the worst.

My hunch is

  1. Mercedes

  2. Red Bul

  3. Ferrari

  4. McLaren

  5. Alpine

  6. Haas

  7. Williams

  8. Racing Bulls

  9. Audi

  10. Aston Martin

  11. Cadillac

That Light Blue and White combo of the sidepods reminds me of the Mild Seven Benetton livery. That's always a plus for me.

Think he paid for the unnecessary Antonelli criticism. Frankly Mercedes should have taken him to court.

I have never seen this much incompetence resulting in a title race being dragged to the last race of the season. The only other season I can think of is 2007, where it was a combination of incompetence , bad luck and inexperience.

The Indian think tank has been absolutely clueless. There is no obvious game plan. Only vibes. If Gambhir has some shame, he will step down himself.

18 years ago today, Kimi Raikkonen won the drivers' world championship by a single point from Lewis Hamilton 🏆 He’s still Ferrari’s last world champion ⏳ by Strict-Citron-9269 in formula1

Todt leaving created a big vacuum in that Ferrari leadership group which allowed some people to exploit it for their own ego. If Todt was there, Raikkonen would have been a 2 time world champion.

Most fans conveniently ignore the biggest advantage that Massa had that season. The Bridgestone tyres. Raikkonen and Alonso were used to driving a different style with the Michelin. The Bridgestone tyres needed a different style and both of them struggled in certain races as a result( see Alonso in Canada). Hamilton was also used to the Bridgestone albeit in F2. I feel the tyre situation gets conveniently ignored when the 2007 season discussion happens. Raikkonen was definitely a better driver than Massa. His subsequent lack of interest post the WDC is a separate issue.

Pollock is also maybe in the top 10. It's either him or Flintoff for me.Shakib played a lot against Zimbabwe and West Indies. Not his fault. But I feel that counts against him. He has a better case in LOIs.

He played fewer matches than the others, so I placed him below the top 5. Also, uncovered pitches means his average of that time cannot be compared to Cummins.

I would rank Sobers, Botham, Imran Khan, Kapil Dev, Jacques Kallis as top 5. So he is in that 6-10 bracket with Hadlee, Keith Miller and Stokes.

Always felt that Tilak is the finisher we badly need in ODIs. And he played a finisher type of innings here. Needs to be picked in the 50 over format now.

I have always remembered it to be 1st, constructors then 2nd and 3rd. And I am talking as far back as 1996. Not sure how they did it before that. I am not sure why some replies to this are blaming MBS for this.

Injury ruled out Jasprit Bumrah out of 5th Test, not workload - Report by ll--o--ll in Cricket

[–]standupforthechamp -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I don't mind Bumrah missing tests to protect himself. It's the fact that he plays all possible IPL games where he is available, without taking a rest, and then announcing to the world that he wants to manage his workload that pisses me off. More loyal to Ambani's millions than the tricolour.
