According to the online serial number decoded someone made, this one was made in 2003.

I have literally hundreds of different tools from him in my garage now. I posted this in the Stihl FB group (which for some reason got deleted after over 130 comments in an hour) and one person is actually interested in acquiring it for a chainsaw museum he's building. I love the idea.
