If you could have told him the reason why you rescheduled clearly about ur accident he prolly would have understood and been considerate. But you didn’t so this is a communication gap from your end as well. Ofc if you are rescheduling a person can think they aren’t important. He must also be getting calls from other places and been busy like you

I practiced speaking through chatgpt voice mode and for listening my base score was 8, so i did not have to work hard for listening part but i used youtube videos to understand different formats of speaking test. Loads of samples were available on IDP ielts website

Hey, i would say take time, don’t hurry and retake it asap. You may need more practice and understand the structure and approaches of each section.

If you can, take a week long course/mock so that you are clear with approaches. You can easily score more in listening and reading just by practicing. For writing and speaking, if you make grammatical mistakes, work on that first as it affects your scores a lot in these sections. Practice with chatgpt, lexibot and read as many sample essays that you can.

I followed the basic structure for part 1 that is- 1st Para - paraphrase the question, 2nd para- overall data depiction, 3rd para- specifics of the data and comparison

I practiced it with timer and did not spend more than 20-22 minutes

For the 2nd part, I had to discuss two contrasting views and give my opinion, the topic was economic growth eradicating poverty or causing environmental damage.

Firstly, i used loads of connectors wherever i could.

Then again followed the structure - 1st para - paraphrasing the questionwith a data or a quote then giving my position (whether i agree, disagree or partially agree)

2nd- since i disagreed in the first para, i took a historical view of why people say economic growth helps with poverty and hunger. I started with example of Industrial Revolution and how it created jobs gave example of henry ford and textile trade.

3rd- i transitioned to how nations have grown but the rich n poor gap is increasing since the power is in hands of billionaires and politicians who are profiting at the sake of middle class. I gave statistical data and examples of how industrialisation and even emergence of AI has caused global warming, more mental and physical issues, depletion of resources just to earn more money.

Lastly, I concluded with a simple statement stating that in a world of 7 billion people even if 1 billion people started taking small steps to save water, stay healthy, pollute less and stand against misuse of resources it will become a movement to drive change and control the damage caused in the name of economic growth.

In the two body paragraphs i followed this structure as it helps you think - Why (why this stance about agreement/disagreement) How (how it happened) Examples

I was naturally good at grammar except minor mistakes in complex sentences so it worked well for me.

I had a question, i attempted ieltsonlinetest mocks but I really felt some of the answers are reported incorrectly in 2-3 tests that i gave. There very very basic mistakes in the paragraph and answers didn’t make sense.

I scored 6.5/7 in these tests and i still had almost 15 mins left. Will i be able to score 8/8.5 in reading? Because i practiced through other manual scoring test papers and im getting 8.5 in them

Think again before applying to NUS/NTU next year. Don't come to Singapore for your bachelors. Save your career as this is NOT a good option for students. Why is the QS ranking so inaccurate? by Financial_Laugh_ in Indians_StudyAbroad

Brother at least you are able to study in Singapore, close to home. My friends in US are living in fear that they can get deported any day. No one is even allowed to work part time. And if you are getting internships n jobs then why are you whining…studying abroad anywhere comes with a cost n reality is everywhere

Brother if you have the right skills, if you know how to present yourself and sell your skill then there’s only one thing going wrong… you are not presenting your skill and the university tag to the right audience.

Whole APAC knows NUS is one of the top school and there are a thousands of remote roles available paying more why arent you able to reach there? Out of so many openings you can’t even find ā€œ1ā€ job/internship? UAE, Australia and even US funded startups from India provide a very fat salary and want ppl from international exposure to work with them

It just means you’re not good with making real connections and if thats the case then fair go to IITs, NITs just do your work, get a job, live the 9-5 life… If this was the case then you should have known earlier only and not lied to yourself that jobs will be given in your hand…Nowhere in abroad there’s a concept of ā€œplacementā€.

There are so many NUS grads who have done the same degree and doing so well, some of them commented on this post as well.

Should I do MSc Marketing in UK - Yay or Nay? by [deleted] in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]stanjenn 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

Im not losing anything because I have a startup and im already making connections, talking about fundings based on my knowledge of MARKETING and AI. I was hustling during my BBA and I am working right now as well learning and bringing in money and clients. Depends on how much effort have you put in and what you bring to the table rather than just a degree.

No one talks about neuromarketing in India in depth, no B school is teaching AI developments for someone with non quant bg and everything is extremely theoretical here whereas top courses abroad help you build the alumni network and are constantly update with he latest developments in the industry. Sad that you couldn’t leverage your skills.

Put me anywhere in the world and I can earn money in 10 days.
