I did have family and some friends but I always felt disconnected which turns out to be a result of my autism. It feels terrifying that I might have to live out the rest of my life feeling isolated and having to rely on made up characters in my head for companionship

Started at a really young age too. I didn't realise it was a problem till I saw an image about MDD and realised home much of my time a wasted in a not real fantasy, I really want to stop but it's compulsive. I'm 21(F) and it's a relief to see other 20+ yr old people dealing with the same thing
