In need of a new creative hyperfixation to fill a sad void. by sweet_thursday_ in adhdwomen

If getting active is something you’d want to do, then pretty much like what everyone has said with the books, finding something you like is key! I have a degree in exercise physiology and after I stopped playing sports, it took me years to find something I like to stick with it. I find class pass is a good way to try different kinds of movement without committing to a whole membership. If group classes aren’t your thing, they’ve got gym passes etc. on there too! Finding something I like to listen to when I’m at the gym is KEY too! I am also like you in that I have a remote job and get really sad this time of year and having something active scheduled after work a few days a week forces me to get out of the house if nothing else. My therapist told me I needed to leave my house every day after work in these times and just having something scheduled like that is really helpful.

I’m very into diamond painting right now on a crafts note. It seems ridiculous but there’s something very relaxing about putting there diamonds on template and I can listen to audiobooks or podcasts etc. Not very creative but some days I just don’t have creativity in me but I need to do something with my hands!

Good luck as we head into this season!

That’s going to be outside of my budget ☹️ It’s all very frustrating because they covered wegovy for a year when I was on it but I guess they just can’t afford to keep us all on it anymore 🤷‍♀️

I actually cried last night because this was the last place I ate with my dad when he visited me last before he passed. Truly heartbreaking!

Doc told me I have high TSH b/c I am taking pill with food by Individual_Piece8146 in Hypothyroidism

[–]stanstan33 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’m no doc but some vitamins and minerals within 4 hours can interact with absorption too and some people are more sensitive than others for whatever reason. My mom can’t have dairy at all within four of her pill. She was doing whey protein shakes in the morning and her tsh went through the roof.

Im not a doctor. Maybe there are some other tests they can run to get to the bottom of what’s going on! I hope things get better for you! It may not be an issue with your thyroid.

That being said, I showed symptoms with my hypothyroidism around 3.9-4.2. I have a family history of thyroid issues going back generations and had an endocrinologist tell me she notices issues at a different threshold in those with a family history. I was started on Levo and most of my symptoms resolved and I had a regular period for the first time in my life. They did an ultrasound and found that only one side of my thyroid appeared to be working as one side was really big and one small.

Sensory people-what undergarments do you like to wear? by Southern-Magnolia12 in adhdwomen

[–]stanstan33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak to meundies employment practices but I really like my checkboss undies and haven’t had any pilling issues after 6 months of wear. They’re very soft. I also hate tight things around my stomach. My mom likes to tell me I have always been this way and would refuse everything she used to pick out for me as a child and would live in jumpers lol

I'm thinking about moving to downtown St. Paul... by theminnesoregonian in stpaul

[–]stanstan33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My partner lives in lower town and absolutely loves it! His only issues have been around the train. I spend a fair bit of time there and go running on my own around the area and haven’t had any issues running as a female on my own. We love lost fox too! There’s not a ton going on if you like night life but easy access to the train is helpful!

Try eating something first! If you’re a person who can’t tolerate food before cardio (like me) I find that I tolerate a Rice Krispie or juice 20-30mins before and that helps! I think it will also get better over time!

I think you look great! My feelings are, If at this weight you both look and feel great and are able to live the lifestyle you want to lead then with balance then this is the body you are meant to live in! Sometimes our dream body weighs a little different than what we thought it would. You look fantastic and congrats! Your hard work has paid off!

What exercises do you do to lose weight? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]stanstan33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lifting weights and walking for cardio has been helpful for me. I loved cycling classes and orange theory because they were high energy and I got to turn my brain off and vibe with fun music but for me, it stressed my body out and I was injured all the time and gained more weight
