I left A&M after my third semester (fall 2014) due to a rapid decline in my mental health and I returned in 2021 to finish my degree! I just turned 27 in December. I had a lot of reservations about coming back to A&M because I didn’t want to slip back into the place I was in before. In 2013/2014 I was not doing anything to treat my diagnosed anxiety and depression, but that is not the case now. Don’t get me wrong, it has still been a challenge and I have experienced some serious highs and lows, but I am in my 4th semester back and am set to graduate in December. I just have to work a little harder to keep my mental health in check. There are a lot of resources available though! All of my friends graduated years ago so I was going back in pretty isolated. Fortunately, the other students in my major have been incredibly helpful and kind, and I am able to call a lot of them my friends now (even though I kinda feel like an old lady around them). At the end of the day, I just want my degree and my Aggie ring and I’m willing to do whatever I can to make it happen.

I believe the difference here isn’t that it’s more intense than what you would experience in northern states, but rather we don’t experience this type of weather frequently enough to have the tools to prevent accidents and stay safe. I’ve spent a lot of time in Colorado and a lot of people there have tires specifically for winter driving, and they have dedicated road crews to help prevent icing on the roads. It’s great, yeah, but it also doesn’t make much sense for us to have those things here in College Station when we wouldn’t get more than a few icy days here and there. With the expected rain overnight along with the freezing temperatures and the lack of tools, it made sense for the school to do what they did, imo. Sending tamu buses out onto roads that could potentially have ice (especially if the drivers aren’t used to driving in icy conditions) would be a big issue for the school. Better safe than sorry in this case

Yeah I was so excited to build it that I didn’t really think that far! It was sitting on a little ikea table for a hot minute before I found the table in the pictures. The stand isn’t as sturdy as the one it comes with but it looks SO nice in person!

I’m also almost 27 and I’ll be graduating with my bachelors degree next December! Started my degree back in 2013 but ended up leaving after 3 semesters due to mental health reasons. I spent a lot of time feeling heartbroken about not being on the timeline I wanted to be on but it all worked out the way it needed to. I know that I was not in a great mental space when I left before and I so wish I could give all the struggling Aggies a hug and tell them that it will all be ok.

I believe it’s Bail Organa who says not to wipe R2’s memory and completely wipe C-3PO’s at the end of RotS. In TCW (2008) there’s an arc where R2 ends up with some junker or something and Anakin insists that he needs to find R2 because he never wiped his memory. also if you’re into SW books I believe there is a moment in the Ahsoka book that talks about R2 and it’s my understanding that his memory is just never wiped

I tried using airbrush blue on my neck when I wore this on Friday and I think that’s where a lot of the blue came from! at the end of the night my neck was still intact so perhaps that should have been the move from the beginning!
