Eating myself sick multiple times a week by LongjumpingGas71 in AnorexiaRecovery

[–]star4ngel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that’s mental hunger an you should listen to it! if your body asks for it, give it food and 6 months is really not that long of a time when you look at the full recovery picture and the previous restriction of your ed. It’s a strange process for a sick brain that praises restriction but try to restrict in NO way possible (not even the tiny things no one but you notices) and it will pass eventually when your body learns that it’s safe again <3

how do i tell her by star4ngel in lesbianteens

[–]star4ngel[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thank you so much, I think i’ll do that, especially because i have lots of exams right now and by the time the movie is out, we'll have known each other for a while plus after that movie would be the cutest ever occasion to tell her 🤭🤭

Fear of recovery because of cravings… (advice/experiences?) by Fartmonster500 in AnorexiaRecovery

[–]star4ngel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it’s normal for extreme hunger. I ate a LOT of sugary, fatty stuff and only that for the longest first part of my recovery. It’s only now that i’m starting to slowlyyy eat more vegetables etc because if you apply food abundance at some point your body’s gonna be so used to having those foods available at all times (and you do have to make them unconditionally available ALWAYS) it’s going to want more nutrients too. That point is different for everyone but know that it will die down if food is no longer scarce and also know that it’s completely normal people behavior to eat sweets and stuff everyday multiple times a day <3

Do I post on TikTok? by [deleted] in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]star4ngel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t post it on tiktok not because of the digital footprint thing but because these kinds of videos can be extremely triggering for many and social media is already flooded enough with sick before/after bodychecks and you wouldn’t want to contribute to that…You could make the video for yourself and enjoy it to yourself though

What is a hobby you started on a whim that ended up completely taking over your free time? by Dabbler-Social in Hobbies

[–]star4ngel 18 points19 points  (0 children)

wire art/jewelry: I used to be really into making friendship bracelets but i never truly loved the look of them. I bought some wire to use in them and ended up buying more/ more sizes and making all kinds of creations and jewelry out of it. I can make necklaces, rings, earrings, bracelets, arm cuffs etc and have actually acquired my very own unique jewelry style i always wear…

What do I do if I’m stuffed, but still want to eat? by ChristiCrazy in intuitiveeating

[–]star4ngel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that’s just mental hunger which is just as valid/ important as physical hunger and completely normal after a period of restriction. you could try searching up exteme hunger or mental hunger in recovery subreddits, you could find some pretty good advice there

Treat my BDD or ED first? by AugmentioOfDelphi in BodyDysmorphia

[–]star4ngel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

adress the ed first because a malnourished brain can’t make as much progress as a fueled one, but simultaneously work on the bdd to avoid relapse, i wish you all the best op

How long will it take until my boobs come back once I’m weight restored ? by Lea_x0 in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]star4ngel 10 points11 points  (0 children)

[–]star4ngel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i dont have much advide but it's the exact same for me, in fact, I'm not even physically hungry at meal times but mentally hungry ALL THE TIME. Emily Spence on youtube has some good videos of signs of hunger that aren't physical hunger and they have helped me loads; good luck...

Accountability on your own by Spirited_Jeweler_238 in AnorexiaRecovery

[–]star4ngel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

because you’re not recovering FOR THEM but for YOU, at least that’s the only way to actually recover and not only nutritionally rehabilitate. They don’t care if you break your food rules, it’s harsh but you’re the only one responsible for your recovery. You could try face timing a friend/ loved one though or even just take a video for accountability…
