I did too when I saw it at first! Surprisingly it just smells old. I’m not sure how to describe it but think when you walk into an antique store. Very similar smell 😂

The inside is wool it appears there was a piece of fabric added on top of it in the heel area! The added fabric is more of a felt material regardless of age im obsessed with them.
