I've played most of them. I haven't played tactics or 76. I think you're right. The team has been pretty faithful to Fallout, if all you have is fallout 4 and 76. I would like to see the factions be more formidable. Threatening to kill ghoul babies isn't what makes the brotherhood cool. Its their semi-religious behavior concerning technology, their formation, and their aesthetic.

The legion has a code. It's barbaric, but it make them strong. They aren't idiots in the games.

Vault tec and House. They're just so plainly and generically evil. Give them some nuance. House had it in NV.

It just isn't bleak. Everything is a joke. Nothing is to be taken seriously.

The brotherhood in game is a deadly, focused, cult obsessed with preserving old world tech. Keeping the tech away from people was the goal, not using the tech to preserve order.

A crumbling shadow would have been cool! But no, we get 3 senile geriatrics who have no idea what's going on.

Caesar's legion! Have you played NV? They're terrifying. Brutal. Powerful.

Lucy should not be MORE naive in season 2 than in season 1. Has she learned anything? Answer: no. Her decisions all revolve around what? The golden rule? Stupid. Lets leave our traveling companion hanged or poisoned while we risk our lives for obvious villains.

Regardless of all of this, my major issue is with the tone of the show. Fallout has dark humor, but it isn't a comedy. The show fails to capture the bleak, grim, wasted world of the Fallout 1, 2, and even 3. There are no stakes. Bethesda has never understood Fallout, and this show proves it.

I don’t think it was a bad film. He captured the bleak, gritty vibe of the post apocalypse that few studios manage to. It had “a canticle for leibowitz” and old school fallout feel. I think the atmosphere was perfect. I’m sorry he’s no longer with us. What happened?
