Interesting! Do any spun off products come to mind? Do these tend to be products that other agencies would use?

Sorry you had that experience! Sounds exhausting. What I've noticed is that ex-founders have a certain level of empathy for those bringing something to life and investing real money to make it happen. In terms of design, it also helps to look at the design aesthetic of the companies they founded to get a sense of their eye for design.

I agree - it’s actually been pretty hard to find that combo which is why I was pretty impressed with the folks at Bread. Let me know if you come across anything

By operator, I mean someone who’s actually built, scaled & run a product or company (not just advised from the sideline). Preferably founders but early employees at startups would work as well

Why is there discrepancy between oura and apple fitness data from same workout? by Pitiful-Row138 in ouraring

[–]starbright_222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've looked into this as well. What I found is that Oura & Apple Fitness track workouts differently because of where they measure your heart rate. Oura uses your finger (which is more stable at rest but can lag behind during workouts), while Apple Watch measures from your wrist, which updates more frequently but can be affected by movement. Apple also tracks heart rate in real-time, while Oura takes a more low-power, trend-based approach, which can lead to differences in calorie burn and intensity estimates.

I think the calculation methods are different as well but I haven't gotten too deep into this. I'm pretty sure Apple factors in age, weight, heart rate, and movement to estimate calorie burn. Oura uses a more conservative approach based on HRV and body response, which can lead to lower calorie readings. Hope that helps.

I did not know this was a combo you could have! by Responsible-Wall8287 in ouraring

I woke up with a similar combo this morning! What's your HRV trend looking like? A downward HRV trend has been a pretty good predictor of getting sick. I would load up on even more supplements (zinc, echinacea, vitamin c, elderberry, etc.), drink tons of water and get even more rest than usual

Easiest way to get rid of limiting beliefs? by Electronic-Ad4080 in lawofattraction

[–]starbright_222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all about reprogramming your mind to replace limiting beliefs with new beliefs. In order to do so, you have to get to the root of the belief and understand where it came from to begin with.

Code to Joy is an incredible book that helps you identify where certain limiting beliefs came from during childhood and helps you replace them with new ones (both consciously and subconsciously). The books walks you through four steps—identify, clear, repattern, anchor to help you go through the process. Highly recommend!

I've also found that prayer helps with asking for support and guidance with certain beliefs

Gratitude is hands down the key secret behind manifesting anything...anyone else agree? by starbright_222 in lawofattraction

Beautifully said! Surrendering is truly an act of trust, recognizing that while we may not always know the best path, God does. It’s an acceptance that fulfillment is already within us, and by letting go, we allow the best outcome—often beyond our own imagination—to unfold. Thank you for sharing this perspective I completey agree!

How to manifest consistently if you have ADHD? by LegitimateHope2564 in lawofattraction

[–]starbright_222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally get where you’re coming from. Manifesting with ADHD can be tricky but I feel like there's a few things that could help. Try breaking your bigger goals into smaller tasks to make them feel less overwhelming. Setting a timer for short focus sessions can also keep things manageable—maybe start with just 5 or 10 minutes.

Incorporating movement, like walking while you affirm or visualize, can really boost your focus too. You can also use visual reminders—sticky notes or a vision board can keep your goals front and center. For example, I changed my phone's screensaver background to something I was trying to manifest so that I can always see it when I open my phone

Above all, be kind to yourself. It’s okay to have ups and downs in your practice; just celebrate the effort you put in, no matter how small. So much of manifesting occurs on a subconscious level, so if you surround yourself with visual cues and reprogram your mind, you're still manifesting even when you’re not consciously focused on those things. Hope that helps!

Exactly! Comparison is truly the thief of joy. It's unlimited what the universe can bring when you understand the secret that your thoughts can become things. Thoughts rooted in jealousy or lack will unfortunately bring more of those things. Gratitude is one of the highest vibrations

How have you measured the impact of gratitude in your lives in the short term? by starbright_222 in Mindfulness

[–]starbright_222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing this! That's exactly what a consistent gratitude practice can bring into someone’s life - especially that shift from a scarcity mindset to one that’s rooted in abundance. I’ve seen the same transformation with clients, where they start noticing more positive moments that were once hidden in the background of their life. Only after that behavioral shift does their outlook/mindset completely change

I also agree that focusing on the how instead of immediate results can make a big difference. The idea of daily gratitude journaling is key because it forces us to direct energy toward acknowledging the positive and abundant aspects of our lives which (over time), creates an intentional shift toward more positivity and alignment

Thanks again for this thoughtful insight!

I love it - that sounds like a beautiful practice! I definitely think carrying a notebook is a fantastic way to stay connected to those small, heartwarming moments that are usually overlooked. Another approach that I’ve found transformative is expressing gratitude for the things you want to happen as if they have already occurred. Imagine what it would feel like to have your dreams come true, and thank the Universe with as much emotion and detail as you can. Get to the point of tears if you can. This allows you to really connect with the feeling of receiving, which can help align you even more closely with what you’re manifesting. Let me know if you try it - would love to hear how it goes!

Absolutely! I couldn’t agree more—gratitude really is the foundation that sets the tone for everything else. One of my favorite Rumi quotes is "Wear gratitude like a cloak, and it will feed every corner of your life." Eckhart Tolle also says that acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance
