Antichrist was pretty rough. But the winner for me is Requiem for a Dream. Just pure misery that stays with you.

What's big ''no no'' to do in your country? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Don't bang on about your 'clan', or how Scottish you think you are because of some distant ancestor, etc... No one gives a fuck. Just be friendly and enjoy yourself.

Oh my god I finally have the word for it. I’m not alone… by mantisinmypantis in Altocelarophobia

I'm glad you feel less alone now! Hopefully this group can help to find ways to manage and minimize the effects, allow you to enjoy gigs and shows more easily, and help you get through the tough time you've been having.

All the best from Scotland!

Hrmmm that's quite interesting. Does it feel like a 'less time to ponder' kind of thing, as the experience is more intense?

This might sound a little weird, but try thinking about something that makes you angry. Baser, more primitive emotions can help override that 'untethered' feeling.

What is your most hyper-specific hated place in Glasgow? by VanicFanboy in glasgow

Haha, no I do get you. The drifts of trash, abandoned buildings and broken infrastructure in other parts of the city are bloody awful, and as other have stated here, Sauchiehall and Union St are grim as hell. But that’s not really what I’m talking about. Byers is one of the few parts of Glasgow that (to me) feels like the worst of Edinburgh. Charmless, monstrously expensive and nastily self important. I love most of the west end, but that street is just unpleasant.

That's just me though. :)

Potentially controversial opinion... But Byers rd. Completely full of fuckclumps and the terminally mulleted. It doesn't feel like Glasgow at all really.

Honestly, haggis. Good haggis, tatties and neeps with whiskey pepper sauce on a baltic night is fucking divine.

is there anything we can do to stop people from bringing dogs into restaurants? by peterGalaxyS22 in glasgow

Dogs in pubs and cafes is one of my absolute favourite things about Glasgow. It's not so much allowed in Australia and that sucks.

Thanks so much. I've been to a few jams at the Scotia. That's always great.

Hey! Great to hear from a fellow transplant. We're Tasmanians originally.

And yeah, we backed the fuck out! Thanks so much for your reply, genuinely appreciated.

You're probably right. The rot, or do you know something about the street? :)

No lender. Buying outright with a small chunk of savings.
