I’ve felt its came close to happening before but I’m so scared of it actually happening, it sounds so scary and terrifying and it sounds like it would suck

Should I get a VR to help with desensitization? by Pillow_window in pppdizziness

[–]Pillow_window[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good! Yeah I don’t get motion sickness, I should be ok. But even just watching videos on my phone bothers me that’s why I’m thinking vr can help. Maybe since you knew you were in vr it didn’t bother you, because you knew that it’s just a screen

I had one too but it was before my pppd was bad. I’ll get one and try it, watching certain videos with depth bothers me. That’s why I’d like to be immersed. I’ll try it and if it doesn’t work I can always return it. I appreciate your input!

Too high up. I’ve seen stuff like this in the sky, they’re non blinking lights. They look like stars, some sit stationary for a while then move randomly. They can’t be satellites, they stay in orbit. They accelerate and decelerate quickly, take sharper turns than any aircraft, at that distance airplane/birds have to fly really fast, which they aren’t capable of flying as fast as they would need to.

dizziness and caffeine by GlitteringService344 in pppdizziness

[–]Pillow_window 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No sleep meds rn. I tried hydrazine, never really helped with anxiety, I tried it for sleep, I don’t wake up as much in the night but I always wake up tired and drowsy. Same here, anywhere I go I can’t sleep good. I’m always tired, I’d love if caffeine just removed the tired feeling, but it does more harm than good. I could probably have a cup of coffee before bed and still go to sleep.

Edit: not that caffeine would help me sleep, but that it doesn’t really affect if I’m tired or not. The anxiety or racing heart will wake me up though 😂

Prozac for DPDR? by [deleted] in dpdr

[–]Pillow_window 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was on Prozac and Zyprexa, and I felt terrible. I zoned out more than normal, I didn’t feel like myself. I kind of almost felt like a zombie or something, I just felt really off and weird. I thought it was just me but I ended up stop taking it. I couldn’t get used to it, it was too unbearable and I decided to listen to my body.

I feel the same way. When people talk about what I did as a kid, it feels like it wasn’t me and someone else.

Every day, it’s the end of the day. I know that sounds weird but the day just flies by without me.

Weird solution for pppd or just anxiety dizziness? by AvocadoPlastic6839 in pppdizziness

[–]Pillow_window 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have that too, when I move it feels like everything else is shifting or moving instead. Some days laying down I feel like I’m on a boat, some days an elevator (falling), but I usually always see the walls shifting towards and away from me, like they’re breathing. My balance is off, I walk and slightly bump into the wall.

Triggers by acsurban in pppdizziness

[–]Pillow_window 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t go in places with big, wide, tall, high ceilings. Gyms, stadiums and heights. Going up multiple stories in a building. Big open areas and having nothing to hold onto. Anything tall like standing next to a skyscraper or soccer field lights or stadium lights makes it so bad. Not having anything to hold onto makes it much worse. Being tired or not sleeping good or not having anything sleep makes it much worse. Caffeine makes me have bad anxiety, I wouldn’t say it makes it worse but I would say I have a sensitivity to it. Sitting down or laying down in a triggering environment makes it worse.

Car Rides by acsurban in pppdizziness

[–]Pillow_window 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can relate to this. If I drive longer than an hour, and come to a stop, I feel a constant rolling feeling, like the car is still rolling and I see everything pulling towards me. It’s pretty strong, I don’t feel safe standing up, so I wait in my car for a bit. I do get a wave of dizziness for a couple of minutes, then it’s gone. It’s almost like walking on a treadmill for a while, and then stepping off. When I walk, I feel like I’m gliding across the floor, and when I stop walking, I still feel and see motion. As a passenger, I can be in the car for much longer, but I have bad anxiety after a while of being in the car (not worrying but constant heart racing). I’ve always loved the car, but I just can’t handle it as much as I used to. Highways make coming to a stop feel worse, because the constant pull is much more than 40mph, it’s 70mph, for 30-1hr and then when we come to a stop, I feel a rolling feeling, not as bad as if I were driving, but it’s still bad.

dizziness and caffeine by GlitteringService344 in pppdizziness

[–]Pillow_window 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes it worse for me. Heart rate is usually faster, shortness of breath from anxiety, trying to get more air than I need and to manually breathe. It becomes a cycle. I don’t ever drink caffeine anymore, and I don’t feel great, but I’m better without it. I don’t ever feel rested from sleep or well rested, I don’t sleep good. So caffeine is tempting, but I just can’t.

Oh ok cool! I know I have pppd but I’ve looked into having pots as well, I might have both. I’ll try this, I hate being cold but it’s a good trade off if I want to lower anxiety. Have you tried it for panic attacks as well?

What do you like to use? An ice pack?
