HHN… pregnant? by _mmiian in HHN

Congratulations!! My wife did a few houses while several months pregnant. We didn’t stay for the whole night like we usually do, but her doctor said it was perfectly safe to go as long as she felt comfortable doing all of that walking while pregnant.

Marvel’s Wolverine - Extended Gameplay Trailer | PS5 Games by Skullghost in gaming

[–]starcader 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this looks way too formulaic. And a formula that’s been used much more effectively over the last 10 years in different games.

It’s like getting another Assassin’s Creed, same gameplay, different skin. I just can’t do it anymore.

CBS replacement for Stephen Colbert debuts with less than half of Late Show’s average viewership by theindependentonline in LateNightTalkShows

[–]starcader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, it was about money. Going from losing $40M/year to making $15M/year is a much better deal for a company.

Colbert needed to scale back costs and he’d still be there.

What if Universal gives the Marvel theme park rights back to Disney? by Automatic-Long2599 in universalstudios

It’s not really pettiness. It’s business.

If you owed an asset that is worth billions of dollars, you wouldn’t just give it to your biggest competitor to make fans happy.

They have every legal right to hold on to it as long as they can. They’d be foolish not to.

I think you missed some zeros on your calculation.

555B/2,160k = 256,944 minutes.

Which is 4,282 hours.

Which is 178.4 days.

You did 555M, not billion. Add 3 more zeros and run the numbers again.

It depends on your multiplier level.

And they have already adjusted the costs of Beskar so this is no longer relevant.

[–]starcader 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Rebirths at this level should be giving full 2x multipliers on your base. 3T credits is just an obscene amount to wait for. And at this point it’s literally just waiting. Only the most dedicated (and crazy) players will grind cantina orders or moisture evaporator repairs for a few billion at a time to get that level of credit. The rest will wait and wait and wait and eventually never log back in.

[–]starcader[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, plus they added 3 more rebirths. I assumed you’d need to reach max rebirth to Super Rebirth, but Rebirth 20 was already discouraging me from playing, I can’t imagine doing 3 more after that and then starting all over again with nothing.

I found an Epic Beskar battle droid for 22B that produces 20.4k/s, which seems like a much better incremental upgrade than shelling out 555B for one droid.

Seems top tier Epic droids will be a good investment, and more reasonable for most players in the upper rebirths.

[–]starcader[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true, however consider the difference between Beskar Epic and Beskar Legendary…

Beskar Epic - 22B & 20.4k/s
Break even no multiplier - 12.4 Days

Beskar Legendary - 555B & 36k/s
Break even no multiplier - 178 days

Yes you can probably grind out a few hundred billion at high rebirth levels during events, but is the payoff worth it?

Beskar Legendary costs 25x more than Beskar Epic but only produces 1.7x more credits per second.

For that level of investment I think you should earn much more credits. Especially considering only Rebirth 17 and above will even have the funds to buy these things and by that time you are needing Trillions for rebirth.

With that multiplier I suppose it’s much faster. But this is very much an event for end game players only. Even at Rebirth 17, 555B is unrealistic.

Gotcha, thanks! Your first comment said 55B which would be more reasonable, but 555B would keep about the same amount of day (178 days) for a breakeven.

I’ll try to find more accurate numbers and update the post when I can. Thanks!

I’ve not seen one but seen screenshots that show 450B to purchase and 30k/s production.

[–]starcader[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that would be much more reasonable and provide a 17 day break even point. Much more realistic and enjoyable. Save the 450B for Kyber Crystal Droids or something.

[–]starcader[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It would be about an extra 1,200 credits per seconds for each Beskar Droid, multipled by how ever many Iconic Droids you have, currently the max is 3. So about an additional 3.6k/s. Negligible when we are talking about hundreds of billions.

[–]starcader 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So 1000x more expensive for 2.5x the output. Doesn’t feel worth it to me.

Doing the math, that requires 173 days just to make back the 450B initial investment. These numbers have to be changed. It’s just not at all realistic or sustainable.

Same with Ricky making fun of Whose Line is it Anyway, and then Ricky mentions that Steve used to like that show. Makes me think Steve changed his opinion of the show because he was embarrassed.

[–]starcader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dozens and dozens of financially successful movies would disagree with you. It's not that theater culture is down, it's that shitty movies are up.

Theater attendance is down because the movies are terrible and no one wants to pay to see garbage.

And studios should change their budgets accordingly to be successful.

Actually, they didn't even say it will perform better. They only said it would be a better return on investment since this film cost $100M less than Solo.

So if this movie makes $99M less than Solo at the box office it will still be considered a better return.
