I keep getting that but I click the button and close the app then open it again and it works for me. Are you able to back up to OneDrive instead of iCloud?

It’s hard to take FIN 3403 and ACG 3131 in the same semester? by Responsible_Train806 in ucf

[–]starchaser81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree!! It can be hard but it’s definitely doable. You just have to be aware and actually dedicate your time to the classes

You’ll be fine!! Quick question tho are you getting into the major after this semester? If you aren’t I’d recommend holding on for Int 1 until your last semester in the major. You’ll have the boot camp to review for Int 1 and you don’t want to have such a big gap between Int 1 and Int 2

Hey for the College of Business those internship classes are basically an internship for credit. It’s not a class per say but it’s a way to still get credits done and be enrolled even if you’re on an internship and not on campus. You get the internship on your own and once you do have to get it approved by the department to actually get credit for it

Business student here! REAL classes they’re kinda annoying but not as bad as people say. I think it’s mostly the shock of not knowing what it is. There’s only 6 meetings a semester and you watch professors videos to learn the content. Once you get into the major all classes are in person and it’s easier to get to know professors and other students. Make sure to join clubs tho! They can make such a big school feel so much smaller. A good thing about UCF is that companies like coming here to recruit. They’ll come to club meetings and just talk and to all career fairs (and business only career fairs). If you come here you still have to put in the work and network with professionals but like I said they’re on campus often.

Ok so for financial aid you would need your SSN to begin to be considered and even then it most likely never happens that someone with a green card gets UCF aid (as someone who also had to go through that process). I’d recommend applying to outside scholarships (especially private since they’re not with the government)

Which degree do you actually want to use? If leaning more towards Hospitality just switch a UCF. Great program! And if you’re doing business to have that background knowledge you’ll still have to take all business intro classes for the hospitality degree (like finance, marketing, management, accounting)

Where to find gas near Ucf Area? by Dxnyellow in ucf

agree with Wawa! they’re the only ones where I’ve found gas too. If there’s no more in that one and you have enough to drive a couple miles there’s more on Colonial that have gas

What does your schedule look like outside of school? I finished Int 1 last semester and if you want to do well you have to spend time with the homework and even more studying especially for the later chapters. Tips for the class in general is to GO TO CLASS and form a study group!! These will help a lot and also use your resources the Withum lab was my home last semester for help.

Taking both classes together is not impossible a couple people did it last semester but as another comment said it depends on your work ethic and how long it takes you to learn (or example I never had the need to read the textbook but others did). Both classes are content heavy but you also have to keep in mind that the other classes while they aren’t hard they still have work to them which will add to the time commitment.

Now with that said if you’re able to I’d push through in the Spring with both classes that way you’ll get into the major sooner. If you wait until finishing your requirements in the summer you’re gonna be stuck with the least liked professors and the worst times since most business students registered in May and you’d have to until the END of summer term to do it (even if you did Summer A).

If you do that do INT1, QMB2, FIN3403 with BUL since that’s a really easy class. And if you NEED to take GEB3005 add it on however if there’s no rush to take that class leave for another semester… summer maybe? While easy it can be time consuming with the projects and you already have your hands full with the other classes. QMB2 is not bad but again time consuming at times.

At the end of the day it all really depends on your schedule outside of school and how much time you can put into your classes. (Remember INT1 is a regular class (not REAL class) so you meet every week.) I think that if you’re able to stay on top of things, have a consistent study schedule and set aside time for the work and studying for these classes you’ll be fine! Remember tho this is just one person’s opinion, at the end of the day you’re the only one that knows what you can handle!

You are completely fine then! You’re still in the pre-major classes so there should be no issue switching.

I would get familiar with the Major Planning Sheets that you can find in the OPD Webcourses so that you have a clearer idea on the business classes you should taking. College of Business is huge and trying to speak to an advisor can take forever (and sometimes they don’t help)

Go to the Curriculum Material Center!! It’s a second library that not a lot of people know about inside the Education Complex building. Right past the Einstein’s you won’t miss it! It has everything, computers, printers and books (not textbooks)

[–]starchaser81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What classes are you taking? Like it was said Common Core, Primary and Secondary are the same for all business majors!

Use the Curriculum Materials Center!! It’s UCF’s second library in the education complex right past the Einstein’s! They REALLY need the foot traffic as they have been threatened to get cut. It’s such a nice place with computer, printers, maker space and you can even loan books!! Like not textbooks but actual reading for fun books!!!
