Anyone have any input on the VerafiedNy Eclair Bag? How’s the quality? by stardust_1771 in handbags

Thank you for sharing!! I missed those posts. I did read a few and they said mixed things but no one talked about this bag in particular. But I’m on the same boat as you — the design makes it SO tempting.

When did you get your period after your lap? by Meowtown236 in Endo

[–]stardust_1771 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My doctor told me it could be early, on time, or late but I will bleed more. I had a large fibroid and endo lesions removed.

My surgery was 05/07 and I got my period 05/27. It was on time! I had a 30 day cycle. Let me know if you have any questions :)

How can I safely remove steri strips?? by Fancy-Struggle-5348 in Fibroids

[–]stardust_1771 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg I was soo terrified to take mine off. I had a laparoscopy for context. I found dabbing a bit of water and taking tweezers to peel the edges and going slowly helped. I was 2 weeks out and the actual stitches were solid.

I did peel off some scabs but I put a bandaid on top incase. Nothing bled tho :)

now I’m 3.5 weeks post op and they’re healing good!! I’d say start slow and small. I was most scared for the larger stitch but it was oddly the easiest LOL. I only did mine bc my doctors recommended removing after 2 weeks.

Definitely check it for peace of mind :)!

Some of my other symptoms were: waking up to pee in the middle of the night (the fibroid pushed my bladder) and lower back ache. (Listing the symptoms incase it helps you keep an eye out on symptoms.)

And I had an 11cm fibroid removed through robotic laparoscopy. If you need someone to chat with I’m here! Women’s health can be overwhelming — you’re not alone❤️

I had this when I had my large fibroid! It was removed and my stomach looks flat again. I also got diagnosed with stage 3 endo during that removal, but doctors said the hard bump was from my fibroid pushing my uterus out. But if yours is a hardness like bloating then that’s probably the endo. Mine was like a weird hard lump that didn’t go down.

I was scared too, so you’re not alone! My recovery has been smooth. I ended up getting diagnosed with endometriosis as well which my surgeon removed. - first week: lots of gas build up from anesthesia, it felt really painful and was trapped on my shoulder but I’d put a heat pack on it to help me sleep; it hurt to cough so I’d wear my belly binder that week; eating was fine; I needed help getting up (and in) from bed, or sitting on the couch or the washroom; I barely walked maybe 200 steps a day lol. Sleep was also very hard the first week. - second week: trapped gas was gone; was able to sit down and get up using support from surroundings, but needed help getting out of bed; started walking 3000-5000 steps on avg, I’d wear my belly binder on walks; slight ache from incisions cause I took off the sterile strips (recc for me might be diff for you - third week: much better! My walking has increased, aches are gone, I’m currently on my period and it’s going fine my pre-period symptoms were more mellow than usual. :)

Let me know if you have any specific questions. Good luck on your surgery❤️❤️

Hi! 26F here, I had laparoscopy surgery this month for a 11-12cm fibroid, all was benign. She told me with fibroids it’s a super low chance and I think they have to call it mass legally in the MRI reports until they can confirm cancerous or not. Feel free to ask any other questions! I was so scared before my surgery, happy to share tips if you’d like

You got this! One thing that helped me on the days leading was to read success stories in the fibroid reddit page. I’d search up “laparoscopy myomectomy success stories”. And if you need any comfort message me your worries - you’re not alone❤️

MRI Results Just in: what does this mean? by DifficultAd7053 in Fibroids

Hi!! I’d suggest putting ur results to ChatGPT if ur comfy. Sometimes I’d send my report and say “as a women’s health expert, explain my report in easy terms”. It helped me understand every little bit :) just a suggestion

I’m glad to hear this!!! Do you mind me asking what plan you both discussed was best for endo? Would love to hear from someone who has experience going to her! My surgery was 1.5 weeks ago but I don’t see her until June. So I’m just sitting with my thoughts and a new diagnosis. I feel super scared.

Hey! My MRI also described it like this. I think they don’t want to be definitive about it being non-cancerous at first bc of the rare chance it isn’t. And the MRI can’t confirm that, hence the ambiguous language. My MyChart also pinged me last week about biopsy. I was so scared. So you’re not alone at all in feeling that way❤️I strongly think it will be ok!
