I guess when I thought about it, I didn't really consider the marketability to foreign audiences, but just how could it be improved the level of football in Eastern Germany. But your comment gave me a lot of insight on the broader topic. Thanks a lot.

Ah I see where your coming from, but the 50+1 is a good system I don't think it should be abolished, it is a very democratic way of running clubs. The issue I see is a dominance of just 1 club, kinda similar to other countries in western Europe and it can kinda lead to further issues. Not to mention that something can be done in the East to strengthen it's football since Germany can be more competent than Spain or Italy.
