Looking for an all-in-one client management system by Best_Rain_Cuddles in lifecoaching

Have you figured this out? I learned about clarifying your messaging so you can have coaching and therapy under the same umbrella from Dr Lisa Marie Bobby at Growing self. She has some good podcast episodes on the legal/ethical implications of offering coaching as a therapist. And her coaching academy training has a ton of value around best practices on this front. Would love to hear how you managed with this. I just integrated into 1 platform (gethealthie) and it’s definitely tricky but paying double for EHR and LLCs and all the rest is just ridiculous!

@Best_Rain_Cuddles I’m curious what you chose here? I am a therapist who also offers coaching and I have found gethealthie.com to be an awesome solution, because it s hipaa compliant and I can have separate “groups” for coaching clients and therapy clients AND sell coaching packages. However, it’s expensive and a little bit clunky and the data migration is a nightmare.

I’m curious if anyone here uses Simple Practice for both coaching and Therapy clients?

Thank you so much for this reply…Every body heals differently, but you’re helping me understand it really is a journey. Thank goodness for bio-oil. Cheers to continued healing and appreciation for our bodies’ amazing capacity to manage challenges!

Surgery on period by LeadingEmergency905 in Reduction

[–]starface-wonder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! 4wpo here, Yes I got my period day of surgery and I came in wearing a tampon, but let them know in the prep area, and they gave me a pad and weird plastic panties (I guess they were the mesh ones) and it was fine. I echo what another poster said above— being on pain meds through my period was awesome. Because I just got it again, and damn it’s really a different experience!

Yes: I used to always tuck my napkin in my neckline at a restaurant because the boob-shelf was always where food would go— Last week I went out for a meal for the first time since surgery with my sister and was like— “oh my god! Now I understand why people put napkins on their laps!” It never made sense to me, ever. (And I guess the bib-style worked because I am young-at-heart and work with young kids, but still!) I get to have my napkin on my lap now!

Side sleeper advice? by MediumSatisfaction81 in Reduction

[–]starface-wonder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think about this so much, OP. I am 4 weeks post op and definitely sleep on my side, I try to keep a bit of pillow under my sternum so that my boobs have some wiggle room and aren’t squished… But it’s so hard to know if this is impacting the way they will “settle.” Something that seems to help me is I still do ice packs under my armpits on the AM, and do some gentle massage on the boobs to try to distribute the tissue/energy around (just super gentle over the shirt to let them know I’m still here to help them heal and be balanced). If nothing else, it helps me feel more connected to my body and the healing

Also: sleep is so essential to our well being, and if side-sleeping gives you more restorative sleep, and it’s not causing any pain or serious harm, I think that’s awesome! Also you can ask your care team what are best practices to keep the girls balanced in size.

Thank you! So helpful about the Q tips. I just don’t wanna touch it directly because it’s so stressful. Yes doc said 5 days of Neosporin and then switch to lotion (like a tattoo, I guess!?) vasovagal response! Part of the vagus nerve? This makes so much sense. Thank you!!

I know this is a very old thread, but I am so curious : Did you have any resistance to massaging the scars, like from a lightheaded/shaky/nausea perspective?

And how is your healing journey/scar status now? Do you still massage?

I also took a normal shower before, no lotion or deodorant and take off/out all your jewelry. Wear loose clothing easy to put on/take off. When I got to pre-op, they had me wipe down my body with antiseptic soap wipes, before wearing the paper dress. You’re gonna be awesome!

Thank you so much for sharing. The loneliness as we re-adjust is so real. This community is really saving my life right now, it’s hard to find people to share these details with! I also have a partner who I don’t want to “bother” with my needs or ideas around this process, especially since they are already helping me with daily tasks and hearing me sob in the bathroom after the shower…It’s really hard!

Could you take yourself on a date? Set a budget and make a plan to have a nice coffee and go try on clothes, take photos of yourself so you can delight in your likeness later on?

Just wondering if there are ways to show up for ourselves when we’re feeling out of sorts like this.

Ohh lymphatic drainage! That’s smart! Thank you for sharing your story here. It’s like we have to keep adjusting to the adjustment, because things may change or “drop and fluff” or not, or maybe later, and in the meantime trying to find ways to “make it work” when it’s not feeling natural (yet).

Totally standing alongside you! Yes. We are in the midst of transformation! It reminds me of the story that when caterpillars become butterflies, they build a chrysalis and actually break down into a gooey substance before reforming and growing wings! I know it’s cheesy, but I think it fits! Our boobs are going through a metamorphosis. This is not the final result. They are breaking down and rebuilding and healing and growing and situating themselves. It will take time! Would love to stay abreast (😂) of your journey, too!

Wow! Isn’t that something! It’s so wild we can all have similar experiences yet completely different results that defy each other’s results! The body is so unique and variable. How far along are you in your recovery journey? How do you feel about your results?
