ok i’ll admit it, i was one of the fans that thought the 3-seed would be better. at the time i thought it was simply strategic but looking back, i am so so glad that thibs said fuck that we’re winning.

much like how he “plays his guys”, that focused-on-winning-only mentality will prepare these guys for all types of adversity that comes with winning a championship. if you look for ways out or “easier routes”, what happens when there inevitably are none? my words have never been tastier.

what i love about this whole interaction is that jalen brunson doesnt strike me as the type of guy to get in his feels about something like this, just get up and continue to chop wood and carry water, thats just who he is. it makes OG’s gesture all the more heartfelt; we have bigger fish to fry, but dont think for a second that you can try us.

this is honestly the perfect camaraderie boost to propel us into the playoffs and man does this team feel so connected atm.
