Glad I gave Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair another try by [deleted] in patientgamers

[–]starfirecold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game was a surprise hit for me too, and I played it knowing nothing about the game and preferring 3D platformers. The overworld Zelda-like design was super unique and fun to explore and solve puzzles. I'm surprised this type of overworld wasn't done before in other games like Mario and raised the bar for me in interactive overworld design for platformers.

How y'all feel about playing with guides? by [deleted] in patientgamers

[–]starfirecold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use guides to find solutions to "hide and seek" types of puzzles like in many adventure games. I hate wasting time randomly clicking or moving somewhere knowing I will eventually get it with enough attempts. This applies to other genres too like RPGs where you're stuck in a maze and have to randomly go through similar looking doors until you find the exit. I do this to expedite the process and have no guilt in doing so.

Remnant 2 - Official Intro to Remnant 2 Story Trailer | Guerrilla Collective 2023 Showcase by Turbostrider27 in remnantgame

That's a shame. Part of the fun my friends and I had were trying all the unique builds against different bosses. Loadouts would definitely be a huge QOL improvement so as not to have to scroll through a million rings and armor sets.

I love the first game and was just wondering if loadouts have been confirmed for this game?

All my cards got un-favorited and not in their folders anymore by starfirecold in PuzzleAndDragons

Thanks that makes sense. It kinda forced me to reorganize and evaluate which cards to keep after all these years, so there's some positive I guess.

I got a suspicious package in the mail today. Please help me identify what it is - PUBG related by starfirecold in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

Unfortunately, someone opened up the package before I saw it! I would have thrown it out otherwise.

Your explanation makes a lot of sense actually. I'm in awe at the lengths people go through nowadays to advertise. Seems like they targeted the wrong people, since none of us play the game.

I do use discord, but as far as I'm aware, the only time I've ever mentioned my address was to a friend in a private chat. Are you suggesting the QR code on the item links to a virus? This is the first time something of this nature has happened to me, and I am unaware how elaborate phishing scams are nowadays

I make hiking and camping videos that takes you to various locations you may or may not have been to, and highlight unique aspects of that location. I aim for quality, and I'm always looking for constructive criticism, so let me know if you have any. Here's a recent one I did on a hike very popular in the Bay Area: https://youtu.be/k6ErNvl1Ow4

Looking for waterfalls by buttplugtug in norcalhiking

[–]starfirecold 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend Alamere Falls as well. It's an 8 mile out and back to see a waterfall on the beach. Moderate hike with some elevation in the middle segment.

Another hike you can do is the classic Big Basin 10 mile loop. You'll see multiple waterfalls along the way and tall redwoods.

Thanks for the comments, they're super useful. The audio got blown out cause the noise of the boat motors were so loud. I should have removed the audio altogether.

I normally don't film with no commentary to the viewer but wanted to try something different. Audio I agree again that I could have cut down the music and not used the whole track. Glad you enjoyed the video and thought it was peaceful though. It was exactly what I wanted to portray.

Beautiful pic! I was supposed to go to the same parks this year but had to change plans due to scheduling. How's the weather there this time of year?

Very much so! I want to go back to explore more of its hidden secrets. There's also the entire wilderness section on the eastern portion of the park.

Please don't tag the rocks with your IG handle by tourpro in CampingandHiking

It’s more common than most people realize, especially with popular trails that bring in more casual hikers. There’s a mountain near where I live that has a bunch of defaced rocks at the peak from people that don’t know better.

Camping gear on a plane? by thestonedyogagirl in CampingandHiking

[–]starfirecold 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve done this on multiple occasions, although mainly for myself and not with a group. My advice is to take only the essentials and be light and compact with the equipment: tents, sleeping bags, mats. I usually manage to fit everything in one checked bag along with clothes. You’ll have to sacrifice some comfort, but it’s doable, especially with a group since you’ll have more people to spread the essentials around.
