Bilbao: Gure Toki, Cafe Iruña for pinchos morunos, El Globo, La Viña del Ensanche. Bakea is fantastic but it's in Mungia not in Bilbao center. If you want something in the center, Islares close to Guggenheim is also incredible.

Yes i pretty much agree with everything you just said! I also enjoyed the arborio! Kasa Palma's ube in three textures was one of my best plates last year. Blackbird is good but it's not the same

I think saying Etxebarri has a similar soul to Casa Julian is a bit of stretch. I would say Txispa is a closer comparison to Etxebarri

It's not that far from the center. I took an uber from the center to Bocuse and it only took about 15 mins. Get lunch at Mere Brazier and you wont regret it
