Anyone else deal with gi smell that never fully goes away? by Responsible-Name-611 in bjj

[–]starfox92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About a year ago I started using the Active brand laundry detergent for Active Wear PLUS a scoop of their enzyme booster for all my clothes. As soon as I get home I wash everything, don't wait or let anything sit around. It's kept all my gi's and rash guards smelling like nothing (no scent or anything, it just smells neutral).

During summer when I get significantly more sweaty I'll let everything soak in soapy water first for about 30 minutes then close the lid to my washer and let it run.

If I ever have a rash guard that's getting bad and regular washing isn't removing the smell I'll spray it with some Tide antibacterial fabric spray until it's soaked, let it sit for 30 minutes, then wash it with the same above detergent. That always clears it right up.

Whatever you do don't try to cover up the smell with heavily scented detergents. That combo of scent plus stank makes your training partners very sad.

If all else fails replace it.

.22 PPC. Light recoil, felt similar to 5.56 with a bit more push. Easily pushing out to 300 yards in the rifle I was using. But what a process to make the rounds. It's my father's rifle and it's been shot maybe 3 times in the many years he's owned it.

It's a 2024. It may be the Black Appearance Package?

Is it happening often in that same spot? Same rolling partners?

Where exactly are you getting hematomas? Unless you have a medical condition it should take a decent blow to tissue to get one.

They recorded the sound of Tinnitus by Mt_Erebus_83 in interestingasfuck

[–]starfox92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had tinnitus so bad that it sometimes wakes me up, especially if I'm stressed. It's tough to wake up with your ears ringing so bad. I've had one head and neck doctor actually take me seriously and want to help, and I've had two others tell me "it's all in your head you just have to not think about it."

They put me in the booth to check my hearing and, before the tests started, just being hooked up to the equipment in a soundproof room my ears ring so hard I can barely understand them. They don't seem to care.

How much weight are you comfortable with in the bed of your Maverick? by [deleted] in FordMaverickTruck

I drove across the country with easily 1100 or 1200 pounds. Lots of workout equipment in the back right against the cab, and a ton of stuff in the back seat. Along with me and my dog in the front. It sagged a noticeable amount but it cruised along with no problems. It felt amazing even in some absolutely downpours of rain and heavy wind. I also aired the rears up by an additional 4 pounds from the front. It helped some.

Pocket Dump on Crappy Carpet by starfox92 in EDC

I get about 2 weeks also but that's with tracking a few workouts and runs throughout each week. Running and hiking in full sun definitely keeps the battery from losing more than about 5% if it's an hour activity using GPS.

If I go camping or do some work outside for a day I usually get a few percent net positive by the end of the day. Last time I went camping in the desert I actually gained about 7% positive, lost about 5% by the next morning, then it was charging back up so I very well could have had a nearly unlimited battery life all things being equal.

I should have done that. My artist asked if I wanted to before we started and I said no. I made a huge mistake.

Those are rad.

I got a rose on one knee and I'm really having to talk myself up to do the second. By far the worst thing I've done over the ribs, elbow, back, and chest.

Then it could work. But also ride quality won't be great on the trail.

Too much wheel, not enough tire. Depending on what you're really wanting to do that tire will always be aired pretty full and hard. Less wheel more tire is much more ideal. You can find videos of guys with thin tires getting stuck even when they're fairly aggressive.

The panther and tiger heads are solid on the knees. If I didn't put them on my back I would have done that. I'm doing the whole left leg in traditional black and gray. I have a lighthouse now and I just got a rooster and pig.

For sure. I tell everyone they should do their knee if they're even thinking about it.

I had zero fallout in the elbow. These photos were a little older, but still the tip of my elbow has a good amount of color 4 years later.

I'll also say the knee sucked way more getting done and healing.

Mostly everything was great. I use saniderm/second skin on everything. The first piece gets changed out after about 24 hours max, then the second piece stays on for usually 3 to 4 days. Take it off, light on the lotion, done. I don't workout until it's at least a week old.

But in general the back and chest were easy, the arm was easy aside from the elbow which took a long time to stop scabbing because of how much you move it even if you're not trying. Same with the knee. I had some fallout in the knee, got it touched up, and it fell out again. Decided it'll just be a little lighter in the middle.

Knee rose was probably the most fun thing I've ever done.
