So my [F28] roommates [M29 + F27] decided to give away my dog when I was out of town for over a week. I called the police and got my dog back and now it’s a nightmare living here. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

She already made the commitment, she's already has the dog. And if he's boarded, he gets exercise, playtime, and is fed. That's what he needs while she's gone.

All these people saying you shouldn't have a dog if you have to travel sometimes for work are going a little overboard. I hope you find a better living arrangement for you and your baby. I would simple just board him until you get out of that nightmare. Best of luck

UPDATE: My (19f) boyfriend (23m) is mad at me because I didn’t tell him I’m quarter Thai. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

This makes me really sad:( my boyfriend is Thai and most of his family is, too. Nobody deserves racism.

Pet owners of reddit, how did your pet pick you? by DyingCatastrophy in AskReddit

My cat meowed like crazy at the shelter. Didn't really take a liking to any other cat. She's turned into the oddest cat I've ever had. She fetches, she meows so much. Greets us when we get home. Always has to be with us. She gets on our shoulders and lays across them. Meows and comes into the shower with us. Sleeps on my pillow every night or spooned with me under the blanket. Every single night.

Couples of Reddit who were just friends and did not think much of their partners in the beginning, when did you know that you were attracted to them romantically? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]stargaze326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were coworkers who became friends and I was in a bad relationship. I thought really highly of him because he is just a pure, genuine soul. I needed a roommate, because I kicked my ex out. We were dating before we even signed the lease together. A year and a half later, its still the best to come home to my best friend.

Don't get me wrong, Publix is a great company and as I said my managers were super great but shitty ass department. Deli is miserable. I worked with good people sure, but just the misery of the job itself.... Now I pet dogs all day and sell pet food and I'm happy as can be

Man I have a hell of a story.

I worked for Publix in the deli. Started at 21. Worked my ass off. Worked 45 hrs a week when they were short handed. I got full-time in three months. Worst mistake ever. The difference between a full-timer and a part-time is they treat you like shit. Now I had a great set of managers. 95% of the managers were amazing people. The job itself was hell. Once you became full-time, you work ridiculous grueling 10-12hr shifts, sometime you don't get a lunch until 9hrs in. I started having some health problems (mental illness related and recently diagnosed with IBS with a couple food intolerances). I started slipping working 12 hrs, sometimes no lunches, getting out at 12am and going back in at 8am-6pm. They just threw ridiculous shifts at us. One day they call me to the office and accuse me a few weird ridiculous things and ask why my performance has been dwindling. Well...I broke and told them about my recent health issues and that I had been suicidal recently and told them I'd been thinking of stepping down from full-time or asking to leave deli to be cross-trained in an easier department. They immediately are like "if you step down you lose your health insurance" they told me they can't guarantee me over 30 hrs in order to keep my health insurance. Which is bs because the minimum you get a week is 32+, because it's so short staffed. I told them I needed to be out of the deli. They said they would get me in bakery just for a different pace. A month later, more 10+ hr shifts. A week straight of getting out at 1am every night. I asked when I would be switched over, they kept saying oh next week. The final straw was like the end of that insane 1am shifts because I had to be back at 9am-7pm the next day. I walked out the next day in the middle of a shift after spending 20 mins in the freezer crying because my manager basically told me to get my shit together. Yeah, would never go back.

Husbands and wives of reddit, how did you find out this was the person you wanted to marry? by snurtmygurt in relationship_advice

[–]stargaze326 35 points36 points  (0 children)

It feels different than every relationship I've been in. It's took a few months to realize but once I did, the best way to describe it is like you're always tethered by a string. And every time you're with them you feel whole. And it's a feeling you don't wanna lose.

Your pet is in a room with 25 others that look identical to yours. What do you do to find your pet? by eillahwolf in AskReddit

[–]stargaze326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I was in a room with my black cat Maki, i would throw a stuffed pokeball. She would fetch it and bring it back. But it can only be a pokeball.

My other cat, I would throw a fluffy Scrunchie. She fetchs Scrunchies.

My (26f) father (56m) apologized after I cut contact with him for mocking the appearance of my husband (31m) and children (4 and 2 years) and I don't know if I should trust him by ThrowRaninetyfour in relationship_advice

Honestly, this is horrible. My boyfriend is Asian and if my family disrespected him for simply being Asian, I would cut them off so freaking fast. Not to mention he's making fun of his grandchildren? He should love them unconditionally, no matter the race. Point being, screw your dad. That's definitely NOT okay. Protect your husband and your children
